Though it seems like sack production is higher at home than on the road, but I have no idea what the stats say.
VikeManDan
Vikings lead the league in sacks with 47. 19 of those have come in 2 games lol. Which would mean that the other 28 have been in 12 games which is still good for almost 2.5 a game. No idea about home vs. away though.
VikeManDan
No more Golden Tate, Marvin Jones is on IR I believe. What is the status of Kerryon Johnson? I know he's been banged up as of late. Feed Cook/Murray again, get Cousins into a rhythm and hopefully we can repeat the 1st quarter success from last week, and let the defense pin their ears back and go. A dozen is the record (done 5 times) with the last time happening 11 years ago. Edit: Although, unofficially, the Philadelphia Eagles sacked the NY Giants 14 times in a game in 1952. The Vikings have (unofficially) also been sacked 12 times in a single game...57 years ago yesterday...in a game vs. the Bears that they lost 52-35. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/196112170chi.htm
vike daddy
The Lions put rookie defensive lineman Da'shawn Hand on IR, and promoted defensive tackle John Atkins from their practice squad to take his place on the active roster. Hand suffered a sprained MCL and was carted off two weeks ago against Arizona. He had three sacks this season, a promising start for a team in flux along the line. The Lions traded next year’s third-round pick in a deal with the Patriots to take him in the fourth round this year. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/18/lions-put-dashawn-hand-on-injured-reserve/
vike daddy
On paper, this is a pushover opponent. The Lions under first-year head coach Matt Patricia have largely been a disaster this season, but the one area that they have succeeded in recently is what has been a bread-and-butter aspect for Patricia-coached teams, and that is a tough defense that peaks late in the year. After starting the year looking like one of the worst units in all of football, the Lions defense, bolstered by the acquisition of Damon Harrison at nose tackle, has made this a tough group to score against. Their linebackers are starting to fly around and young players are stepping up in games that may not mean much to fans, but mean everything to development of football players in securing spots for 2019 and beyond. https://247sports.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/Article/Vikings-Lions-Week-16-upset-alert-126536270/

My brain read that as "He suffered a sprained hand and was carted off two weeks ago" Was going to say.....these Sally's in today's game even need a cart for a hand injury? vike daddy
Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has been dealing with a back injury for the past two days. He’ll apparently be dealing with it for the next game, too. Stafford was limited in practice on Wednesday due to the back injury, four days before the Vikings visit for a game that means a lot for Minnesota but nothing for Detroit. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/20/matthew-stafford-still-limited-with-back-injury/

Probably because he has took a beating his whole career. I still believe if he was on a decent team with a normal OC he would consistently put up MVP type of numbers. First year with a respectable offensive line (yes we sacked them a lot), they find a OC that refused to use Johnson, trade Tate away, Jones gets hurt, and they have nothing outside Golladay and teams have just doubled him to take him away. Relying on Ellington, Riddick, and Blount to be the “weapons” you will have a hard time winning.

SemperFeist
Watching some twitter film breakdown of the Lions last week against the Bills, the Lions need to shut Stafford down before he gets seriously injured. That back just does not look right.
