Not sure I blame him. College is different though. The more weapons the better for him at this stage.

Yeah, it's totally reasonable to look at options and decide to go somewhere that isn't expected to just pound the rock all day in college.  Not to mention, LSU hasn't exactly been a hotspot for QBs and their development lately.  Probably for the best, for his draft stock at least for sure.  Not gonna ding the guy for that really.  Hard to imagine he won't be plenty happy to play in whatever sort of NFL offense will let him take snaps.

On the other hand, i do think it's good information to keep in mind.  The adjustment from just going out and tossing 35-40 balls and a ton of gimme completions every game, to being asked to do a lot more, but throw a lot less...that can be a big one.  Some guys seem to need to throw the ball around the yard like that to get a rhythm going, which is tough in a offense like they want to run with Fournette here.  Have to at least think about that imo.  Also, he did deliberately choose a school with an ugly stupid vertical spread half-field nonsense system that very much inflates stats and doesn't put a lot on the QB's plate.  Which again...isn't an automatic red flag, but has to weigh into the evaluation a little bit.

Why though? He's not even very good. I honestly don't see what people are loving about Rudolph other than a big tall guy with some gaudy numbers.

Pocket presence, fairly accurate, and mobility in the pocket. Most people love those things about him.
