It was one of my biggest issues with him before we traded for AB. I do not know if he really wants to stay in the pocket at all costs, was told to stay in the pocket, or is afraid to run after the back injury but it hurt us a lot last year. Carr has the ability to get out and run but avoids contact to much. 2016 against the Saints he was reckless but after his injuries he has been to cautious. If he broke containment a couple times and ran for firsts it would help his line and slow down the pass rush. After he got paid, he became alot more cautious.

Will he lose his cool when he gets open deep and doesn't get the ball because Carr goes into the fetal position after 2 seconds.

I was trying to stay away from that type of comment because Carr defenders will start another never ending argument about why his heart should not be questioned and Carr himself might challenge me to get into the cage with him until he realizes I will take him up on the offer.

Ab gonna push Carr to be great. If ab putting it all on the line then Carr has to also. Think about it ab had Ben, tyrell had rivers, Trent had Brady. They all have experience with some of the best qbs in the business. Carr just has to man up expectations are highest they’ve ever been. Running out of excuses gotta produce now

So before he got paid he broke his finger and played, then his leg and got paid. After paid breaks his back and tries to win the Dallas game but lost the ball...Yep dude has no heart, toughness or desire to win. All about the bennies... Carr might be too nice and trying to please others and maybe a little too goody goody God/Jesus type compared to the stories I know of when the cops would escort our QB's back to their hotel after tying one on all night at the bar. Even Hoss kicked and spit once he donned the silver and black.Johnny Fotball is probably more our fan bases speed. Though he doesn't party as hard as Todd Moron-O-Vich I'll agree that Carr doesn't have any excuses being we've spent most of our money on the Offense and still have no defense. Maybe he'll be like Romo and get the job done but never get the big one, but as long as he wears the silver and black, I'll have his back. If he leaves I'll root for him just like I do Mack as I thank both of them for digging us out even if it was a 'fluke/lucky' season. Still felt good to have an MVP talked about QB, Defensive MVP and a playoff run cut short due to Carr's injury. We were talked about as the ones to challenge the Pats. We would have been like Philly last season. Maybe not the best but the best when it mattered.
Jerry
We need a DC thread. This conversation is going on in 2 to 3 different threads. This is random raider stuff not DC stuff.
NJ Raider
Jordy is retiring. Looks like we did release him so he could retire a packer.

We would have been like Philly last season. Maybe not the best but the best when it mattered. This is the hard part to explain. Carr can have and show heart when pumping up his team and when it is time to step on the field but as soon as he feels some heat he panics. He does not sit there and make a conscious decision to be a coward. I do not think anyone believes that. It is more like, sorry another GOT reference, when the Hound sees fire. He does not want to run away but also refuses to face his greatest fear. I think shell shocked would be a better description but he needs to recognize this and deal with it. He will not be a good leader and worth his contract until he does.
