The Joe Kelly deal makes me wonder because they enough arb/prearb guys that I don't know how they stay under the luxury tax in 2022 with $35MM annually for Harper. That's ~$38M going out from the Dodgers, while the Reds are sending out $23M. Not sure I see the reasoning for either team tbh.

Not sure I see the reasoning for either team tbh. Bailey only counts $17.5MM against the luxury tax, whereas the Dodgers' crew counts for $42MM. Real money matters less than the luxury tax to the Dodgers. EDIT: Puig/Wood are arb guys, so it might be a little less. Still more than $20MM in tax savings though. hrubes20
Why the hell are the Reds making this trade? Puig and Wood are both FAs after the season, aren't they?

Kemp is also. There are two possible scenarios for the Dodgers now. Like a lot think they sign Harper which would move Bellinger to first and Muncy to 2b. Another possibility is these two prospects and other pieces are used in the rumored trade with Cleveland for Kluber and they sign/trade for a 2b and Catcher which puts Muncy at first.
