Not safe to assume. Few things: 1) Giants likely won't trade with us 2) They don't need to specifically trade up to 3 to get a QB 3) They seriously might not go that route, especially the Giants IMO. They can hold out for 2020. Eli played well enough this year that they could get by next year with him as well.

We need top offensive players right now for the further development of Darnold. Both on the O line & at the skilled position. The loss of Shell has created more problems that have to be addressed. That doesn’t mean you stop taking developmental guys and on top of it it’s a weak offensive class at the top with no real stud at WR. The worst thing we could do is reach for a WR or OT that isn’t in the same class as the Edge rushers at the top here.

If not Allen at 3 what do you guys think of A.J. Brown? We don’t need a first round WR. They do not lead to Super Bowls.

What about Jerry Rice, Lynn Swan, Randy Moss, Raymond Berry, they sure did, unfortunately there is no players that rate a #3 overall pick this year. Best chance will be in the second round to get a wide receiver. If we do keep the third overall pick it will be some kind of pass rusher.
Bobby816
FA will determine who I want so it’s hard to say. We don’t address OL or get any offensive talent... I want ya to reach for a OT or WR. We do something at those 2 spots then im Ok with an edge.

rickyt31
Bosa will probably be the pick because people we don't expect to fall to us keeps falling to us.

Anyway my greater point is that the largest pool of quality players is typically WR and RB. More gems are found later in the draft with those positions more than any other. QB O-Line Pass Rush. That’s my focus the next two drafts.
