Basically nothing outside of WR i want at this point in free agency.

Colbert has already failed in free agency.  Not nearly enough aggression. I Know I know I know that this is how the Steelers do things but we've been a disappointment in the post season for far too long, if there was ever a year we were gonna be aggressive, it needed to be this year.

I'm with you.  It's ridiculous how tepid they continue to be considering the team should be in full win-now mode in Ben's final years

Nick Perry was released. I know the Steelers went after him a few years back.  Does anyone know if he has any juice left?

solid on the edge in run defense but not much there as a pass rusher after he go paid for his career year

And the circle is complete

On Tuesday afternoon, it was reported that Bell is not receiving the interest from other teams that he had hoped for. Bell's decision to holdout an entire year is reportedly among the big reasons why the New York Jets are currently the only team to come close to offering Bell the longterm deal that he wants. And while the Jets' offer is reportedly a good one, it's also not a record-setting contact that will pay Bell his desired annual income of $15-16 million. It also won't give him the amount of guaranteed money he is seeking.

This brings us to the Steelers and the odds of Pittsburgh re-opening conversations with Bell. Last month, speaking at the NFL Combine, Kevin Colbert said that the Steelers would keep their options open with regard to possibly re-starting contract talks with Bell. Colbert, despite what some may think, was not just offering lip service when making those comments.
