There are much better alternatives to finding competition for Rush and White.

I meant starter competition if God forbid Dak goes down and we have to rely on Rush and White. Dak is tough but he did take some pounding last year and the year before. It’s either that or Miami hopes it can land Drew Lock or Daniel Jones, because I don’t think Oakland will trade Derek Carr.
plan9misfit
And this issue with Tyreek Hill could be really bad...
WizardHawk
Wasn't there something floating around about Dallas trying to trade for Ogbah earlier in off season? If Murray is all it took, they must not have pushed very hard. Edited April 1, 2019 by WizardHawk

I think it was more speculation since they had him as an OV and were planning on drafting him before the Browns took him a couple picks earlier. WizardHawk
The bar has been set. If you think Dak isn't getting around $30m/yr....you're wrong. Edited April 16, 2019 by WizardHawk

That Breer tweet is misleading. The total deal is $157M for 5 years, which is $31.4M a year average.
Nextyearfordaboyz
3 year ago, Russel Wilson signed a 4 year, $87.6M contract. Since then, they have won 1 playoff game, and this is the new contract he gets. People will freak out when Dak get 7/$210M, but in three year, it will look like a pretty decent deal. matt79511
The real question is who will be the first of these young franchise QBs to sign a LTD that doesn't make him the highest paid player ever. I would think Dak is probably the correct answer, but off the top of my head, the only "franchise QB" in that 6/16-present timeline to sign an extension with the team that drafted him that didn't reset the market in terms of APY was Bortles, so it's something to keep an eye on. There's no way we'd give him $36M per year.
Matts4313
i love dak more than most... but if the going rate is $35m we are screwed.

Matts4313
the last qb to win with this percentage of their cap tied up was steve young. that was 1994.
