Might be something of an NFL trend to keep an eye on. What with SS's moving down into the box - or being replaced on passing downs by fast LBs - moving taller / fast CBs into the deeper secondary could be a defensive scheme going forward. At least I intend to propose it when I interview for the Packers DC position next week. I'd appreciate any insights you might have before the sit down. moretti19 Posted January 2, 2019 Share Posted January 2, 2019 I would rather invest the money in pass rush. A good pass rush will hide a lot of our safety flaws. I would bet anything that if we would have drafted Derwin James he would be no where near as highly regarded as he is now.
