I get the feeling the head of their FA is being a bit petulant because he wasn’t in the loop.

They can’t be any less entertaining than they were!

TBF it was pretty disrespectful of Lopetegui and reeked of Real Madrid thinking itself more important than the National team.

They can’t be any less entertaining than they were! They weren't possessing for possession's sake. It's utterly tiring constantly moving the defensive unit to match the passing, tiring pressing, tiring mentally keeping up with their passing and movement. Opportunities arise for teams who dominate the ball.

Especially since he told his players to hold off on negotiations regarding transfers with clubs and apparently this did not mean his own self elsewhere. Madrid not great timing and riding the wave of their own greatness. However great fault exists with the national handling of this and claiming dishonor when really their own ego got a bumping. BullsandBroncos
A lot of people have problems with Benzema being left out of France team because of his past allegations and racial issues but, he wasn't very good this year and I'm one to think that is the actual reason. Although, I do believe he's better than Giroud....

UKTexans
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44915730 Ozil is such a strange character. Widely criticized for his effort he still racks up the stats. Won't be terribly missed I imagine. Was also a terrible decision to pose with Erdogan.
drd23
I get why he might feel the way he does re: racism, but the fact he doesn't seem to understand why that picture was a problem is bizarre I agree that the German national team probably won't miss him that much

drd23
Doesn't look like this Ozil story is going away any time soon Quote Mesut Ozil's agent has hit back at "foolish" Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness claiming his criticism of the former Germany international has "nothing to do with football". ... "Mr Hoeness, we will not waste any more time or energy talking about a subject clearly you know nothing about. Not only is he a disgrace to himself, but also and more importantly a shame to German football and the people of Germany." http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12023/11446922/mesut-ozils-agent-responds-to-bayern-president-uli-hoeness-critcism
drd23
If the Nations League game against the Dutch is anything to go by, it doesn't seem that the German's have quite learnt from their debacle of a campaign in Russia

Also kudos to Gibraltar for getting their first win at the international level. In Armenia which is quite impressive for them
drd23
England was somewhat lucky to get the result that it did against Spain today They scored 3 goals from just 5 shots, while Spain had 23 shots Spain should have got a penalty in the 63rd minute and Pickford probably should have got a red for that challenge yet the assistant standing 5m away somehow missed it. The refs didn't have a great game - basically every card handed out was wrong imo
