Better question, if Bruce Arians becomes HC in TB, does Bowles become the DC?

JetsandI
Just now, barnaby8787 said: Better question, if Bruce Arians becomes HC in TB, does Bowles become the DC? Stronger yes. I think they have two solid LBs to either lose to FA or retain for years. Bowles can replace them with bigger LBers to make his defense work. Still not easy task to do. barnaby8787
With the Clowney news, I just analyzed the cap situations for the teams with the next best four pass rushers of (in no order) Dee Ford, Frank Clark, Demarcus Lawrence, and Trey Flowers. So: Chiefs/Ford: 41 mil Key FA's: Allen Bailey, Steven Nelson, Mitch Morse Likelihood of Ford Re-signing: High Seahawks/Clark: 60 mil Key FA's: Earl Thomas, Justin Coleman, KJ Wright Likelihood of re-signing: High Cowboys/Lawrence: 51 mil Key FA's: Cole Beasley, David Irving, not much else Likelihood of re-signing: High Pats/Flowers: 25 mil Key FA's: Trent Brown, not much else Likelihood of re-signing: Moderate Trey is definitely has the highest odds of hitting the market
barnaby8787
One more thing, Trent Brown graded out as the #44 tackle this year. If we want to upgrade from Beachum...

Dr.O
Love Trey Flowers but not sure he’d fit well if we kept the 34. If we switched to a 43 than I’m all in on him.

I think most consider him 2nd tier even though i'd love him, but... Cap: Roughly 40 mil Key FA's: John Brown, CJ Mosley, Michael Pierce Likelihood he's re-signed: Low I'd say low and I think he hits FA. Pierce is close to an elite DT. Will need to decide between Mosley and Za'Darius. I think they go Mosley and draft an edge. Will have to address WR at some point and i'd guess they'd try to re-sign Brown. Need to give Lamar options.

I wouldn’t give a ton up for him but for the right price for sure.

BlaZeN37
Preston Smith lead the NFL in pass rush pressure rate in 2017. He’s definitely worth a look, as is Za’Darius Smith. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcsports.com/washington/redskins/need-know-its-science-preston-smith-one-nfls-top-pass-rushers%3famp

Didn't actually realize how highly rated he was by PFF (20th this year).
