Key, like most rookies needs to get stronger. He was able to pressure the QB, but struggled making the tackle. Remember, even Mack only had 4 sacks as a rookie. It takes it time to come together.

Key should of easily had like 5 sacks this year. He got over zealous a few times and just missed the tackle. One game he slipped twice and fell on sack attempts due to field.

I'm officially on the Oliver wagon.  Originally I was fairly cold on him as I was all about Bosa and Williams, but after locking pick 4 up I started paying more attention to him.  I am fully convinced he could play at at exceedingly high level at DE day one.  I have no doubt that after Bosa, Oliver is the #2 DE and by a large margin.  I was watching him in movement drills and he freakin moves like a 280 DB.

At#4 I want Oliver.

I also want Dexter Lawrence with our 2nd 1st round pick.  I think his suspension drops him right into our lap and is really a non-issue to me.  NT might not be the biggest need, but we need impact players and he is a MONSTER.  He's not just a space eater, but actually has pass rush ability.  Think Chris Jones type.

Oliver, Lawrence, Hurst and Hall/Key would be a damn fine D line.  Key had issues due to overuse, so let him be a pass rush specialist.  However, If I was in the FO, I'd go hard after whichever impact DE hits FA even if it means overpaying.  Think of a

base: Oliver, Hurst, Lawrence, Clark (just throwing out a name)

Short yardage: Oliver, Lawrence, Jelly, Hall

Pass D: Key, Oliver, Hurst, Clark

Round out our early draft with:

LB Devin Bush and safety Taylor Rapp

Why would you ever move Oliver to DE? He’s the perfect UT/3tech in a 43 which is exactly what our scheme utilizes. He’s special because of his insane quickness and violence inside.  There is no indication that he has the necessary flexibility to be an elite edge.

I think we all agree we need to get WR, DE, MLB, S we are just debating the prospects... we should be able to attack these spots with the first 4 picks, we could also add a nice TE in a deep class in the 3rd....

Those are our biggest needs but our roster is so bad we could feasibly draft any position except for QB.  At 4, the best players look like they’ll be DTs right now and we shouldn’t pass on those guys just because we drafted PJ Hall and Hurst last year. We reached for a position last year and that’s how we ended up with Kolton over Derwin.

What else is there besides All 22? Draftbreakdown shut down

People are still doing tons of cut-ups.  Just search on YouTube “Quinnen Williams vs” and you’ll see a bunch.

I do not know if this subject has been approached yet but two questions assuming Bosa, Williams, and Allen are 123.

Who is BPA at 4: Derrick Brown or Ed Oliver

BPA based on need: Devin White (There is not an edge player that separates themselves from the pack)

I’d be real upset with Brown at 4. A lot of these DTs are overrated imo. And I’m always reluctant of drafting a 20 year old who weighs 325; because he will probably weight 335-345 very easily..and unless he has extreme athleticism, I don’t like the risk.

I actually think if he takes this seriously, he is 20 years old so who knows, he will be one of the most physically impressive players at the combine.  Imagine a sub 5 second 40 at 325.  He is not a fat 325.  Well built and 6'5".  He is a top 15 based on play but top 5 based on potential.  I wish there was a #4 that stood out.

Meh I saw him being too slow especially when he had to redirect his initial direction. If he doesn’t get there with his first 4-5 steps then he’s toast. His acceleration is very pedestrian imo. His moves save him imo. Classic tweener de size but dt speed. Not sure he can bulk up cause he tried at LSU but he says his ideal playing weight is 250. Wish he could bulk up to say 280 and be a good base de but idk if he can play at that weight. Maybe if he had someone on the other side to collapse the pocket he’d be more effective.

Ideally I’d like a small trade down to get Polite, and a trade up to get burns. (Because I believe burns will move up to the middle of the first when it’s all said and done.) if he weighed more he’d be a top 3 pick.

Probably 90% of Raider fans would like to trade down at this point.  We are at the beginning of the second tier that is a pretty large group.  Hopefully someone steps up our a team falls in love with a prospect and we can move out.

Or qbs are mobile enough nowadays to put a move on a guy who is arguably the slowest guy on the dline who has change of direction issues.

I’m a huge fan of the draft. And I’m excited to see what mayock does. He’s the only tv analyst I’d really pay attention to, because the rest aren’t any good imo.

We got 3 1st rounders. It won’t take long for us to see how good mayock is at drafting. If he’s the one even making the picks.

we would have the 1st pick and Bosa but decided to win that Arizona game and land the 4th pick.. Bosa will never be a Raider now, was that win worth it?? what type if Moral victory was beating a lousy Cardinal team??

That Cardinal win hurt....

Winning hurts with the draft but helps with FAs.  I agree because I think the draft is a better place to build but it was not a total loss.  Also getting better down the stretch gives us some positive momentum into next year.

I felt the same way..im JUST getting over it. But there’s good players. We just need to hit. And devils advocate with Bosa; he has a history of getting hurt, and his brother gets hurt as well. Maybe it’s a blessing.

But yes..the win against the browns (we did not deserve) the win against the cardinals, and the win against the Steelers we did not deserve. The only win we deserved was the last home game. And the cardinals maybe. We should have 2 wins
