mayanfootball
5 round draft; Fanspeak/Steve/big board; multiple, difficult, user voted settings: 61: R2P29 SS, JOHNATHAN ABRAM, MISSISSIPPI STATE 64: R2P32 FS, CHAUNCEY GARDNER-JOHNSON, FLORIDA 68: R3P4 C, ERIK MCCOY, TEXAS A&M 92: R3P28 ILB, TREVON CONEY, NOTRE DAME 93: R3P29 EDGE, JOHN COMINSKY, CHARLESTON 105: R4P3 OT, TYTUS HOWARD, ALABAMA STATE 141: R5P2 ILB, TRE LAMAR, CLEMSON 168: R5P29 CB, COREY BALLENTINE, WASHBURN TRADES; TRADE PARTNER: NEW YORK JETS Chiefs SENT: ROUND: 1 PICK: 29 Chiefs RECEIVED: ROUND: 3 PICK: 4 ; ROUND: 3 PICK: 29 ;ROUND: 4 PICK: 3 ; ROUND: 5 PICK: 2 Chiefs still have rounds 6 and 7 to fill in as needed. I think this is a fine draft filling many needs. Obviously a defensive heavy draft. I've gotta like the competition on defense for starting jobs and backup. We would be stronger on the Oline too. mayanfootball
As much as I'd love to trade down, reality is we probably won't. Good DL and edge rushers are plentiful: Drafttek big board, multiple, difficult settings: 29: R1P29 DL ZACH ALLEN BOSTON COLLEGE; Need for edge rushing is real if Ford, Houston leave. 61: R2P29 LB DEVIN BUSH MICHIGAN; Middle LB need is HUGE. 64: R2P32 SS JOHNATHAN ABRAM MISSISSIPPI ST; heckuva tackler. 92: R3P28 FS C GARDNER-JOHNSON FLORIDA; Berry to undergo surgery. Is he done? 168: R5P29 C/G MICHAEL JORDAN OHIO STATE; The Pats exploited weakness in the middle of our Oline. onejayhawk
Chancey Gardener-Johnson at #92. Not realistic. There is another thread for Fanspeak drafts. This one had been personal picks. J

What's nice about Fanspeak is it's realistic unlike simply unrealistic picking players you like. At least Fanspeak gives justification for picks. onejayhawk
I would not be happy if they waited to round 6 to address the OL. Don't Mack Wilson and Tre Lamar play the same position? J
kingseanjohn
My question for everyone wanting to draft OL early, who will they replace? Right now without any re-signings we're looking at Fisher-Erving-Reiter-LDT-Schwartz as our likely starters. Our depth includes Wylie who played well until injury, plus Hunter, Murphy, McKenzie, Murray, and Koroma.

That is not the way I want to go into 2020, particularly at C. Schwartz is 30 and a backup/replacement needs to be groomed. On the flip side, we have multiple recent picks on defense that are not fully integrated. J

What are your thoughts there? Personally I’m looking at someone in 2-6(if BPA) and really hoping we re-sign Hill and Robinson. I’d like Conley back but I think he could be a cap casualty. onejayhawk
At WR Hill is an obvious re-sign. I think Robinson will be inexpensive and he gives them a big WR who can block. OTOH, Watkins may be too pricey to keep. Still, before WR I would be looking forward to getting a protege for Kelce. J

onejayhawk
Why aren't you happy with Watkins? . The offense took a noticeable hit when he went down.

I’m hoping that we get Sternberger in the 3rd. I really like what I’ve seen from him so far.
