Gopher Trace
Seems like a fine pickup. I feel like Monken may have been the real brains behind that offense, but if I remember right, Koetter was doing a good job as OC before, too.

And he only gave up playcalling for a few weeks before he took it back.

FalconFan13
Im pleased with it i always liked Koetter here and my favorite thing he always did was let ryan run the no huddle a good bit and thats when ryan does his best work.

With all that being said he did good for the most part and I think he will do better in Atlanta with a better QB and O line. The weapons are fairly similar IMO. By the middle-ish of the season he had one again. And the playcalling changed ever so slightly.
Chrissooner49er
Oh, this is good news for Matt Ryan. Well, best news since Shanahan left. And yes, I am happy to have Shanahan in SF.
indifference
An upgrade over SS and thats for damn sure. Koetter offense is explosive as hell and they have the weapons to be a top pass offense. I expect ATL to be a top 5 offense next year if they have a running game.

The ATL offense is in much, much better hands. Like you though, I'd prefer Monken. I think he's a potential future head coach, especially since Kingsbury just got hired as a head coach.
