BrettFavre004
A BF Mock v.006 Packers have an expected cap spaces of 41 million Packers going to work on setting a tone for having a tougher more run oriented offense, better special teams and faster more playmaking D And we're off Roster Moves Released/Restructured/Extensions Kenny Clark - Kenny agrees to a 4 year 65 million extension, making this an effective 5 year 68 million contract, adds 12 million to this cap. Guy is a total stud, 3rd best DT grade on PFF, dynamite in the run game, and his 46 pressures are by far the best of all NT's. Released Mason Crosby - 3.6 million in savings for a guy who is not performing like a top 3 kicker yet getting paid like one Jimmy Graham - Just can't get over how slow and clumsy he looks. Saves us 5.33 million this year and 11.66 million towards 2020 Notable Not Retaineds Randall Cobb - Just not producing Retained Clay Matthews - Sniffs around but doesn't get a big offer anywhere, resigns for a 1 year, 7 million dollar deal Jake Ryan - 1 year, 1 million, can compete with Morrison for the 1 ILB/ST spot. Geronomo Allison - Back on his RFA tendered offer ** Packers now have 26 million (29 - 3 million rookie pool) to work with Free Agents - Woohoo!! Offseason Champs TJ Lang - 2 years, 10 million with an easy out after 1 year. Lions cut TJ Lang and save 8.8 million dollars. Still only 31 and injuries starting to pile up, he is happy to return to GB in somewhat of a familair scheme and Campen as coach and good buddy Aaron to play Sheepshead with. Better pass blocker than run blocker, but should improve the OL either way Anthony Harris - 2 years 8 million - was a RFA this year, undrafted for Minnesota. By all accounts, playing really well in Minnesota after Sendejo's injury next to Harrison. 2nd ranked safety on PFF with 90.0 grade Luke Stocker - 2 years 4 million - LaFleur brings in his TE from Tennessee, was the 6th ranked TE on PFF last year with a grade of 76.6. Good blocking TE, can play sort of a H-Back/TE type hybrid. Moving on from Graham and adding Stocker show some committment to the running game Tevin Coleman - 3 years 9 million - Draws a pretty quiet market starting out, LaFleur was with him in Atlanta and jumps at the chance to add another playmaking RB who is very good in the passing game. Jones is obviously the man, but durability concerns already showing up with him Tavon Austin - 2 years 10 million - Another guy who goes a week or two into FA without a lot of action and GB jumps on him with special teams in mind and as an additional weapon on the O NFL DRAFT 1 Arizona - Nick Bosa Edge 2 San Francisco Trade With the Jacksonville - Dwayne Haskins QB 3 New York Jets - Jonah Williams OT 4 Oakland - Josh Allen Edge 5 Tampa Bay - Clelin Ferrell Edge 6 Giants - Drew Lock QB 7 San Francisco From Jacksonville - AJ Brown WR 8 Detroit - Greedy Williams Edge **** Trade - Packers Trade Pick 12, and their 4th and 7th to Buffalo for Pick 9 Round 1 - Pick 9 Ed Oliver - DT - Houston - 6'2" 290 Looking to make the D faster and more playmaking, Pack get aggressive and move up for a extremely unique talent. Of the Aaron Donald mold, Oliver is nearly as strong as he is quick https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/12/18/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-ed-oliver/ ***** Trade Packers trade pick 30 for a 2nd and a 4th Round 2 - Pick 7 Taylor Rapp - FS - Washington - 6'0" 212 Real young kid, true junior https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/05/31/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-taylor-rapp/ *** Trade, Packers move pick their 2nd round pick and their newly acquired 3rd round comp pick Round 2 - Pick 12 Albert Okwuegbunam - TE - Missouri - 6'5" 260 Redshirt sophmore coming out young. 72 catches and 17 TD's in his two years playing. Not a flashy player and has some to learn blocking, but appears very football smart. Knows how to get open and catch the ball and is a very willing blocker and a frame where he should be able to pick it up https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/08/22/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-albert-okwuegbunam/ Round 3 - Pick 12 Joe Jackson - OLB/DE - Miami- 6'5" 258 Long athlete with a high motor. Needs to learn how to pass rush better, but already stout against the run https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/08/04/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-joe-jackson/ Round 4 - Pick 7 Mitch Hyatt - T/G - Clemson - 6'5" 305 Guy has a long way to go to put it all together, but has everything physical aspect you would dream of. Maybe Campen could work his magic and get him ready or RT or see if he ends up kicking inside to guard. https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/08/03/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-mitch-hyatt/ Round 4 - Pick 15 Iman Marshal - CB - USC - 6'0" 205 Perfect size for a CB and very fast, great athlete. Could use some work on tackling, but very wiling to be physical. Can cover a lot of ground very fast https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/08/05/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-iman-marshall/ Round 5 - Pick 15 Dru Samia - T/G - Oklahoma - 6'5" 295 Starting RT as a freshman and played the last 3 years at guard. Elite athlete for the OL, great speed in the zone blocking scheme at Oklahoma. Needs to gain some weight, but still displays a lot of power. Lot to work with here, could be a real good player a few years down. https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/12/11/2019-nfl-draft-play-profile-dru-samia/ Round 6 - Pick 12 Matt Gay - K - Utah - 6'1" 210 88% kicker last year, 30/34, made 2x56 yarders, consensus all american and Lou Groza winner for best kicker Round 7 - Pick 12 George Aston - FB - 6'0" 245 Good 'ol fashioned full back. Brit Pack
Love the effort. Love the return of the Lang. Only thing our edge still sucks. Also think we need something more from our ILB spot.
Packerraymond
That team looks like the 2018 Packers +Ed Oliver. See absolutely no reason to increase Clark's cap hit and hinder what we can do in the market. FA class is incredibly mediocre and I actually think we lose better players in Breeland, Cobb, Graham and Crosby than we bring in. Just don't think this makes us any better. coachbuns
Love the effort and thought but the results overall doesn't trip my trigger. Agree with Packraymond, no reason to redo Clark and reduce our free agency dollars. Breeland and Graham should stay and still need outside pass rush. Redt
Agree with the above sentiment. Ed Oliver is nowhere close to A. Donald and I would be very disappointed with a move up to grab him. The only trade up I would consider would be for J. Allen. #12 is a good position in this years draft as the only two that stand above the rest for me are Bosa and Allen. Against popular belief, IMO D. White is the third best defensive talent in this draft and could be available at #12 if the Bengals don't grab him at #11. I feel there is no good reason to bring Clay back, he is a liability against the run and is average at best in pressuring the QB.
JBURGE
This is a fun one. I actually quite like the draft - while the Oliver - Donald comps have always been way off, I still think Oliver can be effective. He is so small but at this point I have faith. Love the 2nd round picks. The whole FA is..... yikes. I am cool with letting Jimmy go with what you brought in, but Coleman valuation seems very off, Tavon Austin at $5m bleh, no thank to TJ Lang he might retire, love Harris. I think you give all of that money to Breeland and Harris and see what you have left over
Arthur Penske
- More needs to be done at EDGE rusher in both Free agency and earlier in the draft. We cannot continue to lack developing players there. - I don't think Graham goes - Like the Coleman signing - I think I read TJ is going to take a pay cut to stay in Detroit. Hasn't the been injured there a lot and looks like he's starting to break down?

Hasn't the been injured there a lot and looks like he's starting to break down? I really like the Coleman signing too. Would obviously have to be at a value contract. Jones has a record of injury concerns already and if we do make a lot more emphasis on running the ball, and Tevin being active in the passing game, not crazy at all to think about all 3 backs getting 150 touches on the season, 120 maybe more of a target. And if we do run more, that depth will more than likely be needed during the season. I honestly don't think Graham goes either, I think he should, but would also require Gute to admit he made a mistake very very early in possibly his biggest offseason move last year. But we can save 17 million over the next two years moving on from him. Crap FA TE market though, so not likely to be able to replace Graham for 2 for 17 other than maybe Jared Cook. Mac and Ted gone, so maybe he'd consider GB again. But I do these more to find new names and target different positions via draft and FA, so different to look at FA RB's and TE's. Thanks for the input!
Packer_ESP
I'm not qualified to analyze the draft but I disagree with the Clark resigning (has two years left including the 5th year option) and with cutting Graham. The rest of the FA class sounds good to me. I also like the pictures. They're funny and they move.
vegas492
Man, I love the layout/format. Great work on that! Bet it was time consuming. Moving on from Graham is a mistake. Can do better than the often injured Lang. Very intrigued by the safety. Love me Coleman, especially at that deal. Great thoughts there, though. Draft wise? I like that you got some offensive linemen. Hate trading up for Oliver, especially if Q. Williams is on the board. Thinking Rapp is another strong safety/box type safety. We have that in Jones already. But...if you keep T. Williams at FS...maybe that works. But...I think there is better talent to be had in the second round. Very interesting though and I very much appreciate the effort. My big dislike in the draft is Oliver over Williams on the DL.
SSG
Love the effort put into this!! - Like Oliver a lot but that pick seems more like a luxury selection IMO. DL is probably our strongest unit on the defense. -Not in love with the idea of going into next year with Kyler Fackrell as your #1 edge rusher. Our edge, which was pretty easily the weakest spot on our defense, would be relatively unchanged from last year. - Don't believe the Austin or Coleman UFA acquisitions are needed. In regards to Austin, that's an awful big contract for a guy who's nothing more than a returner. Coleman is going to be a lot more expensive than 3 million per year IMO. If that's the contract, I'm ok with it but I don't believe it's terribly realistic. - Would love to see TJ back if he's healthy enough to play. - Think the offense would suffer greatly by subtracting both Graham and Cobb while not adding any viable replacements. Stocker isn't anything more than a back up caliber blocking TE IMO. Love the Okwuegbunam pick but I'm not sure how realistic it is to expect him to produce as a rookie (TE's don't generally). pgwingman
This mock sorta confirms what I had already thought, which is that this roster is in need of major repair. With the lack of playmakers in the recieving corps, and with the money you already have invested in him, I'd say you have to keep Graham and hope that Lafluer has the magic touch that allows Rodgers to find him more often. What are your thoughts on the WR corp going forward? It sounds like you trust the young guys to take a leap forward, since you were willing to let Graham go. Tavon Austin seems like a major luxury pickup, but that's just my hunch. Oliver Seems like a luxury pick too, but I highly doubt we see Gute diverge from the BPA strategy, and Oliver could very well be the BPA when we pick. CWood21
Probably way too rich of an extension for Kenny Clark. That's top 5 money for a DT. Don't think he's there yet. He's probably somewhere in that $12-$14M range right now. He's not getting elite ($15M+) DT money. Not really understanding the moving on from Jimmy Graham. You're replacing him with a slightly better version of Lance Kendricks. I'd rather roll with him for another year and let him figure it out. Lang's body is done, and I'm not sure I give him more than a veteran minimum deal at this point. Too many "gadget" players IMO added in FA. Like the Oliver/Rapp duo at the top, no real issues there. But when did the Packers get a comp pick in the 3rd round?
