If any team can defy those odds though, its the Pirates. 4. Iowa Jagwads (11-5, 3rd Salsa) 11% If you have Brees and Hill, you have an offense that can make a ton of noise. I could easily see them running through the Starfells and the Papermakers and punch their ticket to the Taco Bowl. 5. Egypt Starfells (10-6, 2nd Salsa) 10% Started strong, and fizzled at the end of the season.. Nevertheless, they have a decent offense and the best defensive player in the league. They definitely have the juice to go on a hot streak. 6. Reykjavik Direwolves (11-5, 2nd Cheesy) 9% The record doesn't necessarily tell the whole story. This is an up and down team - which could make them a quick exit, but also gives the opportunity for a hot streak. Unfortunately, their path is going to go through the Pirates, likely the Thunder, and likely a great team in the Salsa conference. The odds are stacked against them, but this is the final team that I feel like has a real opportunity to take home the trophy. 7. Freiburg Venom (9-6-1, 4th Salsa) 6% A very surprising 5 game run to sneak into the playoffs.. An offense with Jameis Winston, Derrick Henry, D.J. Moore, and Chris Godwin as the main pieces? It's hard to see the success continuing, but if they can knock off the Papermakers, you really have to re-evaluate their odds. 8. Hanoi Viet Kongs (10-6, 4th Cheesy) 5% Another team that is a surprise to have made it this far. It was a really strong performance this season, outplaying their roster, but ultimately their road to the ship is just too difficult. If they beat Tacoma, then maybe I'm more of a believer, but at this point its hard to give them too many odds I'd hope you'd be a believer at that point... if they beat Tacoma, they become the S17 Champions.
