Early games? Sure, why not? This week we find out who is still alive (and who is clinched) going into the final weeks. What will your team need to make the playoffs?  Or are they dead/clinched already?

If you're curious about playoff scenarios I think I summed it up here: https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/15760-nacho-simulation-football-league-season-17-week-15-posted/?page=313&tab=comments#comment-1730634

So the playoff situations aren't complicated at all this season. In fact, they're incredibly straight-foward (SPOILERS!):

Cheesy Conference

Winner of Hanoi and South Africa will be the final wildcard.

Rio de Janeiro will be the division winner if they beat Seattle, or if Reykjavik loses. Rio lost the head to head versus Tacoma so it could not take the 1st seed from Tacoma even if Tacoma loses

Reykjavik will win the division if it wins versus Breckenridge and Rio loses. They could also snipe Tacoma's first seed in this situation if Tacoma loses. But they'd also need to make up the difference in net points (they'd be tied in Conference record and did not have a head to head game), which seems unlikely (currently, Tacoma has 44 net points greater than Reykjavik). Due to the large difference in differential, this is unlikely. Tacoma is more or less clinched for the 1st seed barring two blow outs which would frankly be a miracle.

Obviously, if Rio and Reykjavik both win, whoever wins between Hanoi and South Africa will be 4th seed. I think Hanoi would get 3rd seed if they win and Reykjavik loses however.

Salsa Conference

This conference is even simpler... each of the first three seeds are already locked (1. Scranton, 2. Egypt, 3. Iowa).

There are three teams in contention for the final wildcard but none of them play eachother.

Freiburg controls its own destiny and will be in if they defeat Egypt. They could also get in if both Phoenix and Southview loses. They could also get in if Southview loses, Phoenix just barely wins, and Freiburg is defeated only slightly (if Freiburg and Phoenix are tied it would come down to net points and Freiburg currently has 8 net points more than Phoenix).

Southview will get in only with a win versus Rocket City and a Freiburg loss.

Phoenix will get in only if they win versus Indianapolis, Freiburg and Southview both lose, and if Phoenix is able to cover the difference in net points (as I said, Phoenix currently sits at 8 fewer than Freiburg).

Note that if Phoenix and Freiburg finish with tied Net Points, it goes down to STrength of Schedule which I'd really not like to calculate right now but I am fairly certain Phoenix has the stronger SoS and would get in if its tied (Green division has a better average than Yellow and also plays the Red division which has a higher average than Blue... but Freiburg could have the harder SoS depending on which teams each team didn't play of the divisions their division played).
