How would you feel if your boss interviewed your replacement right under your nose to originally serve alongside you (not letting you hire your own direct report) and then giving that direct report the job over you? Then factor in that an NFL Hall of Famer, a legend in coaching circles for the work he did with said franchise and his innovative work co-creating the Air Coryell offense, picked you to be his heir, and then the team took a giant dump on you.
