What was so frustrating about Joyner is that we had crap at FS and we had an answer right there in front of us. Harris and Joyner or Joyner and Lawson. I think that’s easy. Just too damn stubborn to make a move

Another gunther idea: starting Erik Harris, (Player who wasn’t even in the NFL prior to making the raiders) for two years. Of course that set us back LOL

That’s not true

There were a few of us that choose Darrisaw in the Me vs Mayock thread.  If I had the option to trade down I would probably go that route but in the thread we were not allowed to trade.  I personally preferred Darrisaw to Leatherwood so if I was wrong I will except it.  Still have not played a game yet so who knows.

Thing is, it’s way too earlier to be wrong about a prospect. That’s my point of waiting to see things out and not rushing to judgement on a prospect. I learned that with Nnamdi.

My thing is no matter which way anyone slices it I'm not choosing the RT that doesnt have work ethic and injury issues if we just traded a guy who had the same issues after putting up with coming overweight and only playing and missing a season worth of games in 2 years.

Nobody can minimize how bad of a defensive coordinator Paul Gunther wise and the direct impact it had on the defense whether it was draft picks or FA acquisitions

This was such a ludicrous situation! Literally every single poster here knew that Joyner was most effectively used at safety and had struggled at the Rams when playing slot, preferred safety and would continue to struggle at nickel corner. Everyone and his dog knew that Joyner was being misused except our flaming Defensive Coordinator 😤

We took a good safety and turned him into a poor Nickel Corner then took a special teams player and made him into a poor safety...... It really beggars belief and what makes it all the more frustrating was that we all knew it, predicted it and foresaw it. Staggering ineptitude really.

i definitely had Darrisaw ahead of Leatherwood, as well as Teven Jenkins, and even Vera Tucker. im pretty sure that if i go and look back i probably had Cosmi ahead of him too

I always dissed Jenkins. I like Leathwood and Cosmi over him, and liked them both. I like Vera Tucker but didn't value guard as high

I mean the crazy part is it’s not even rocket science as a safety with his instincts and football IQ of course he would be a great safety and with his lack of size and speed of course he wouldn’t be a good slot corner… unless of course… you’re Paul gunther

SKOR North's Darren Wolfson reports Vikings first-round LT Christian Darrisaw (core muscle surgery) saw a specialist in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Darrisaw's recovery from core muscle surgery reportedly "continues to be an issue," which forced him to see a specialist regarding his return. Coach Mike Zimmer recently described the injury as one “nagging all the time,"
