offense going 1-9 on 3rd downs doesn’t help

Thanks for pointing this out. People want to give Carr a pass because he makes some splash plays in the passing game, which is great. However, Carr has serious issues with consistency on third down and executing in the red zone. It's masked by some big time throws that he make.

Yes the defense sucked, but the offense needs to keep them off the damn field. 1 for 9 on third down is asking to much of your defense.

Carr and this offense have won games making splash plays and quick scores. They lose games when they have to grind out drives and move chains consistently.

Completely agree that the offense struggled and needs to be better.  Carr does not get a pass in my book. He went into press mode(which always ends badly) because of the way things were unfolding. However, he and the rest of the offense have nothing to do with the defense unable to get off the field.  The offense didn't put them in a bunch of bad situations or short fields.

The defense gave up multiple 10+ play TD drives and that is on them. You want off the field and to stay rested, then make a stop.

Neither side helped the other in this game and clearly showed on the scoreboard.

I was all over Holland too.  I called him being a stud and someone who we should target in the 2nd round if he was on the baord.

I remember alot of people had Grant higher than Holland on here. I guess because he was a mid 20s prospect who looked good in a bad conference people wanted grant lol... Moehrig was a solid second round pick. Should be a solid starter the rest of decade. Holland looks to have a higher ceiling, could see him becoming an all pro

Just watched the Eagles Broncos game and wow, Teddy Bridgewater just completely sh@t out after the late fumble, had a chance to stop the DB returning it for a score and just pretended to be hurt instead......😂😂 Funny stuff!

And outside of the Chiefs game our defense has given us a chance to tie/win at the end despite our offensive struggles. Against the Chargers we had the ball in the 4th quarter down 21-14, against the Bears we had the ball in the 4th quarter down 17-9, and against the Giants we had the ball in the 4th quarter down 20-16 (Carr threw a pick, they kicked a FG) and 23-16 but weren't able to score. Even in the Chiefs game we had the ball in the 4th quarter down 24-14, driving, before Jackson's fumble completely swung the momentum.

We've been held under 20 in 4/6 weeks, we were only held under 20 twice all of last season.

Agreed. I would say that this last week is what’s been happening all season on offense but the defense wasn’t able to keep it close for once
