Devilshark69
Read he’s scheduled to make 60 mil guaranteed this year. That’s just crazy money there. Fwiw.
agarcia34
His contract is the biggest draw back and why I don’t see the Raiders being interested cause not only is it the money it’s the draft capital as well, but I did see something that mentioned he is open to reworking his contract. Not sure I could trade the 7th pick for Rodgers with the possibility of it being a year or two gain for the Raiders.

He reportedly said that he doesn't want to reset the market. For guys like Saquan / JJ I don't even think the number is the biggest factor, it will likely be the GTD money. We'd be smart to just franchise tag him ($10M) and then go from there. If we don't resign him, I'd prefer Kareem Hunt.

I'm also not convinced that he's a great fit for the culture and "Patriots" way.

Arod thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room same with JMD. Guys like that tend to clash.

It'd also be a huge risk to trade away premium draft capital to acquire him when he could retire after next year.

Dak is essentially DC with a good OL, weapons, and defense.

Love Rodgers, but dude needs to go to a defensive minded HC with a mostly ceremonial OC. I remember a year or so ago that Tennessee was a rumored destination for him. That would've probably been a good fit.

But nobody that needs him has that. And he's pushing the age limit. A 1st for, what, 2 years of elite play? That would be considered a bust. Maybe 2-3 years ago, but he's been to wishy-washy on retirement for me to go all in like that.

I could see the Jets doing it potentially. It's just a risk because he could retire at any second.
