Brady is not coming here and that is a fact. t's truly remarkable that you wont let go. It's quite sad actually. Rodgers is also not coming here despite your million posts fantasizing about it. Worthless time spend on fictitious trades regarding Rodgers. You are wrong again. You claim Carr is a bum, would not get paid nor have a market. The dude is making 35M per year, is guaranteed 100M and once again has a NTC. You were about as wrong as one can be if you don't think Carr walked out of this situation as a winner that embarrassed the Raiders. 100M must be chicken scratch to you LOL The look of our front office is of complete incompetence which you clearly can't defend other than just spewing out nonsense about Carr being the reason this franchise has been the worst ran organization in pro sports for over 20 years, It's a very low brow stance to anyone who understands the nuances of football. I just cant believe the million posts and hours of time wasted posting these fantasy scenarios in your head all day long. You don't understand how contracts work, Carr didn't really get 100M guaranteed. It's a 2 yr/$60M deal with more potentially becoming guaranteed if he sticks around there. The front office made a great decision to move on from an average, overpaid QB in Carr. It's not the end of the world little buddy.

Our weapons are better than theirs and our OL was better than theirs last season as well. That's why I think it's interesting that they shut us out "because of carr" and then pursued him with money they didn't have to pay him an average of 37.5 over four years. It's like you would've thought that as they shut him out they would've saw him like we did but they didn't. And for the record our roster is not comparative to theres we had one of the worst defense in the league they had one of the best. They draft better than we do they have a better GM and in a vacuum their school positions are about the same as ours. some would argue better we just have a better TE(and this is a very good TE draft. Oh when you really put it together the better team that smashed our team wanted our quarterback who they shut out in a game when they shut us out

Their weapons are better than ours, they have an elite OL, elite defense, great staff, great front office. So there's no excuse for DC not to have an All Pro level season and lead them into Super Bowl contention Edited March 7, 2023 by NYRaider

Teams are desperate for QBs, we've seen Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Matt Ryan, Carson Wentz (twice), etc. get traded and handed starting jobs. The Saints also invested into Jameis Winston as their QBOTF for years, lol.
drfrey13
Offensively we are a better team but I would say they easily have more talent than us overall. Also he got a 3 yr $100 million deal. They are not getting rid of him after year 2 without taking a $27 million dead cap hit. The difference between him playing 2025 and not playing is $18 million which is a low cost. Only way the cut him after year two is if they can improve for less than $18 million or the improvement in QB is so big it is worth taking a huge cap hit. Neither are likely but possible. I said Carr was worth the low $30s based upon the ridiculous contracts other QBs have received and I also said his contract would mostly likely have 60-70% guarantees based upon the market. He got it but I still do not think it would have been worth it. At the same time our team screwed the whole contract/trade with Carr. I still think the team should have not cut him and forced a team to trade for him. Time to move on but I will never root for Carr.

At least that might be fun to watch for a little while as we keep winning 8-9 wins every season until his contract is up.

And then you have to figure that our defense is one of the worst in the league and their defense is one of the best. So it's a matter of you would take their skill positions and defense altogether over ours. their situation is overall better and they draft better. Its just better

He never did anything to deserve the hate he gets imo. He just couldn’t get it done here. Hard to do that with the coaching carousel and poor rosters we’ve had over the years. He’s a genuinely good person imo. Unlike Sapp, Moss, J. Russell, and the list goes on…

Carr's deal is basically a 2 yr/$60M deal with very minimal GTD money after the first two years. We gave him a 3 yr/$121M extension last offseason. It'd be cool to see the most raw, least accomplished first round QB ever come to Vegas and immediately have more success winning games than Carr, I agree. It's not the end of the world little buddy. What a shill for an incompetent front office. The Raider homer glasses must be quite thick on you. -We extend Carr last offseason paying him more money than he would have had if we had let him play out his old contract. We also add a NTC to his new contract giving him all the power. -Carr is released because of this NTC and not only did we get zero in compensation, we incur a 6M cap hit this year. Had we stuck to his original contract not only would we have paid him less we very well could have traded him. Worst case we release him and receive a comp pick. -Carr just backed in the Brinks truck with a contract for 35M per and 100M guaranteed. Explain to me how this is a good look for our front office and how this move is a "great decision"? Anyone with half a brain can see how this situation is a complete embarrassment and once again reinforces the fact that this organization is a complete dumpster fire from the top all the way down.
