the Come one, come all.. the time is approaching and we’re all eagerly awaiting. The NFL Draft is a spectacle that draws in millions, and it certainly has my attention throughout the year. 3 ROUNDS JUST FOR YOU !!!!

While we wait for the steak, allow me to give you an appetizer. Get your thumbs ready; and don’t be a Debby Downer. I know, you could draft better than me. Gregg Williams can coach better than both of us though, so what does it matter? :D I struggled to adapt to the idea that we’ve been used to in the past: a lot of quarterbacks taken. I couldn’t justify the talent with the picks in most cases. It’s only three rounds, and our top 100 probably differs so that’s why Player X isn’t included. I think some players will have a BIG slide come draft weekend. I’m sure you can tell whom I think will do so.

Alas, without further ado, I present to you.. hours of work with mediocre effort.. THE MOCK.

our line can't keep a 6'3" 225 lb Andy Dalton healthy..

I don't think they want any part of a 5'8" 180 lb baseball player

Just give us Ed Oliver

Kyler Murray in an offense with AJ Green, John Ross, and Joe Mixon would be lethal. You guys are estimated to have the 10th most cap space right now and that’s WITH Dalton on the roster. You won’t fill all your needs in the draft, but close to $60M in free agency can help. The Bengals have to keep up in the division, and you have to compete with another team in state. Not to turn it into a popularity contest, but Cincinnati needs to do something to get some fans back on their side. Hiring Marvin Lewis was step one, step two is establishing an identity on offense. And regardless of who’s on your team now, five years with Murray is the focal point of him as a first round selection.

Horrible trade for the Rams. Not our biggest need and way too much to give up when there are good corners and good players at positions of need when we pick. If anything a trade down would happen.

I wasn’t optimistic you’d like it. The way I see it is, you get an elite cornerback for five years much cheaper than you would in free agency. The Rams are built to compete now. If Peters or Talib go down.. again, that secondary is suddenly thin. Your cap space is going to TRIPLE within two years, although guys on that team will get PAID. Even still, almost $40M in cap space to help fill holes. Coverage sacks are just as good as any. You can’t let your secondary get exposed in today’s NFL.

Will I can agree with you saying the Bengals need a new identity to win fans back.. Its not with him (IMO)...Hopefully it's an exciting new head coach

also.. about the bolded...meaningless,  you do know that Mike Brown owns this team...right?

gotta save that money for 2023 extensions and injury money

I’m hoping you guys can get Eric Bienemy or Todd Monken. The choices are slim, but who do you believe could take the reigns of this team? & I get needin to re-sign players, but you just said you need that money for four years from now. Mike Brown has to see that Baltimore, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh are threats to potentially hand them 8 losses next season. If his marriage with Marvin Lewis can end, why can’t his cheap ways?

But running backs gashing us up the middle for 5 yards a touch won’t change when there are some damned good DT there. You’ve got Dexter Lawrence and Tillery going after our pick. Both need some work but would be great next to Donald. There are even some good ILB available. Some Rams fans might disagree with me and that’s fine but to me run defense is the top priority, granted each position might be addressed by free agents.

On the pick is he a 2nd and another first better than Love or Oruwariye?

Also you can likely, or hopefully, add Barrons cap number to available space.

1. me too

2. check your math... :D

3. empty seats and him not making as much as he can is what caused ole marv to be gone..

I hope you are right man..I have just lost any of the faith I had in this team.. I will believe good things when I see them.

Getting Bienemy or Monken will be a step in the right direction

Dalton is 6'1 at the most, my man.

ok.. 6'1" 225.. he's still a monster compared to this kid

I just don't like his chances in the NFL and wouldn't want the Bengals to pick him

I would take Oliver all day in that scenario.

If the Chiefs take Julian Love with Zach Allen, Deionte Thompson, or Mack Wilson available, I will lose my ish.

Taking Love here seems like a reach for a need to me when either of those three would be BPA and need.

Also not a fan of RB unless it's Montgomery. But I'd still prefer to go with another position.

I don't expect the Lions will trade up to #4. Even if they do, they'd likely take Josh Allen over Quinnen Williams. We have a few guys up the middle. Our biggest issue is on the Edge, especially if Ansah is not brought back (which I expect will be the case). There are several guys that I would take in the 2nd, so I won't touch on someone. I definitely don't expect us to take Will Grier in the 3rd. Just not going to happen.
