I wanted Bowles but he had already all but committed to Arians and kept his word to him (from the little I have read), so Pagano was 1B. He might not be a great HC but he is a hell of a DC. Xmad Posted January 12, 2019 Share Posted January 12, 2019 Pagano hasn't been a good defensive coach in years, his one good year in Baltimore doesn't mean he's a great DC. (the colts best defense under him finished 9th in points allowed, the 2nd best being 19th) Pagano is overrated and I don't see the bears being as good under him as Fangio.
