Lincoln Riley played QB for Mike Leach, one of the forefathers of the Air Raid offense, at Texas Tech in 2002. He then joined Leach's staff. Riley put his own spin on the Air Raid as head coach at OU with Baker Mayfield. Todd Monken now brings more Air Raid concepts to Cleveland. The Browns actively building an offense around Mayfield strengths. By golly, the Coaching staff and FO will be on the same page for once!!!

Some are saying on Twitter that after Kitchens finishes out his staff. Kitchens, tettleton, Lindley and Monken are going to be traveling to Norman to sit down with Lincoln Riley for a week or so to better game plan around baker. If this is true that’s phenomenal.

I can't wait for Super Bowl 54

Cleveland Browns vs. Dallas Cowboys

Freddie vs. Jason

I think it's safer to assume another team hires a coach named Jason and goes to the Superb with that guy rather than Jason Garrett going to a Superb.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Browns look at Indianapolis TEs coach Tom Manning - Zac Jackson

Interesting if Tom Manning becomes our TE coach.

Why?

Tom Manning was OC under Matt Campbell at Iowa State for 2 years. Before that he was the Toledo OLine coach for 3 years under Campbell. The only way to hire him as a lateral move would be to give him some type of Passing or Running Game Coordinator Role as an official title.

The beauty of a potential Tom Manning Hire is that we would be building in some redundancies in terms of Offensive play-callers on the staff. Therefore, if Munken were to leave we'd have Tom Manning and Tyler Tettleton as OQC as coaches familiar with the spread, Air Raid hybrid type offenses. That means such coaches could ascend up the ranks internally and keep both continuity and Freddie with a staff to delegate to.

Manning could be a solid OC in waiting

Man browns are knocking this out of the park. The only one I’m hesitant on is Wilks with that zone. Still a great coach. Hopefully we’ll get some pieces to fit.

I gotta find it again, but read an article from 2017 when Wilks was DCing for Panthers, and in it he talked about using one of his CBs who was strong at man-to-man to take away the top WR and designed the rest of the backend into a zone around that CB.

If that's an option, Ward could definitely be used in that way.
