Mason Crosby         -    3.6 million in savings for a guy who is not performing like a top 3 kicker yet getting paid like one
Nick Perry         -    Only 3.3 million in savings this year, which he is likely worth, however his 10.7 million salary still needs to be paid and releasing him now vs. next offseason will also save an additional 7.2 million on 2020's cap.

Kareem Jackson        -    3 years 27 million - Texans have some big resigns and will have to let a few walk.  Jackson already 31, but already having one of his best years.  Playing both corner and safety this year, he has a 79.5 CB PFF grade for 2018, 14th overall.  Packers pick him up to start at CB week 1 with a potential longer term move to safety a possibility.  Looking to get 4 solid corners here so we can stop playing grocery baggers every December.

Luke Stocker        -    2 years 4 million - LaFleur brings in his TE from Tennessee, was the 6th ranked TE on PFF last year with a grade of 76.6.  Good blocking TE, can play sort of a H-Back/TE type hybrid.

TJ Yeldon        -    1 year 2 million     - Had a promising rookie year, Jacksonville has negative cap space heading into 2019 and he has worked under Nathanial Hackett before.   Yeldon is a decent receiving back and a decent pass blocker.  Aaron Jones is the man, but he hasn't proven he can stay healthy, need some capable depth at RB.

Anthony Barr        -    1 year 12 million    A week or two into free agency, no one is offering Anthony Barr the huge contract he is looking for.  Packers make a play at him for a prove it deal and let him play maybe his more natural position as a 3-4 OLB at 6'5" 255 and let him get after the QB more.  Plus he will get to stick it to the Vikings

Should be day 1 starter at RG and possible long term replacement at RT, either way.  Great power and hand technique, mauling run blocker.

Starting to move up some draft boards, I've seen him a few times in the early 2nd, think he could eventually be crawling into the 1st round.  Combine will be important for him but I'll make the assumption he will test well.  Has no shortage of flashy plays against lesser talent, 32.5 career sacks and 11 forced fumbles.  Seems to play smart a lot, knows when screens are coming, knows when set back and try to knock down a pass, high football IQ

Raw TE who finally came on his senior season.  Big catch radius, great athlete for a TE and his size, very willing blocker albeit has some room to work there. Can line up anywhere, love how he catches the ball.  Runs very nice routes

Broke the Terrell Suggs's FBS sack record with 45 career sacks.  Great athlete for his size, stud run defender, has special hand technique in his rushing moves, long arms, really a lot to like about him.  Wouldn't even be a little surprised if he ends up going in the 1st round.

True centerfielder type.  Not the best tackler, can't play man well, not very versatile, but a ball-hawking, fast safety.  Great instincts, can cover a lot of ground, 9 interceptions an 16 PDs in 20 career games.

Physical WR who is great at making contested catches, doesn't let the body get into his body.  Good special teamer as a gunner and a returner, doesn't seems like he has top end speed, but is quick and shifty

Starting RT as a freshman and played the last 3 years at guard.  Elite athlete for the OL, great speed in the zone blocking scheme at Oklahoma.  Needs to gain some weight, but still displays a lot of power.  Lot to work with here, could be a real good player a few years down.

Lot of good players added here. However, I will be very unhappy if we go into next season with Tramon and Brice both starting at safety.

That's what I thought Kareem Jackson would be a S here because that's the position he played in Houston,  but he's at CB here hmm.

Need more of an investment at DT and S in the draft. Don’t let @Outpost31 see you going IOL in the first round.  That hole can be plugged via Free Agency. Would rather see an investment at DT/DE here.

I like bringing Jake Ryan, he’s gonna be cheap and he’s a good  2 down ILB to compete with Morrison.

Yeldon ended up being a character concern at the end of the Jags season so I’ll pass on him. Take a RB with the 6th or 7th picks.

Give me Breeland over Jackson.

You guys who want Mason cut will miss him when we bring in the next Parkey.

He is already the 3rd worst clutch kicker since 2007, with guys with at least 7 pressure kicks, after Blair Walsh and Graham Gano. I'd say we've had our Parkey for 11 years and are paying him as the top kicker in the league.

I like just about every player you mentioned in the draft, but not where you picked them. I don't like Risner, a true guard, in the 1st. He's not a Nelson or a Martin and not worth that high a pick. Love Ximines, and he could move up with a great Combine.... but still see him 2nd round.Same with OLB Ferguson from LaTech. Both guys will have impact as pros IMHO.

The WR ARW is good but as you mentioned...lack of speed. Many are expecting Deebo Samuel from SC to make it to the 4th and he would be a great selection for the slot position.

I expect the Packers to keep Breeland, and would love Barr, just don't see the Vikes letting him go.

Not sure that's a great example given that Crosby is statistically no better of a kicker than Parkey.  Over the last 3 years, Parkey and Crosby have made the same percentage of their kicks.  One has been on 3 teams in 3 years and the other is paid like he's an elite kicker.

I don't need Crosby cut, I need a better more consistent kicker in Green Bay.  Whether that is Crosby making huge improvements as he gets older or the team bringing in a younger, hungrier player.  Mason Crosby is a great dude, who's got thick skin (which you need as a kicker) but he's not all that great of a NFL player anymore.

With this being one of the strongest TE classes EVER, I think there is going to be a lot more value in the second round at TE than Josh Oliver who's probably closer to being a 4th or 5th rounder IMO.  I think he'll need an amazing Senior Bowl and OJ Howard-esk combine to get that high.

If we're taking a TE  with that 2.12 pick, one of Albert O, Smith Jr, Fant or Hockenson will surely be there.

I get what you and the OP are saying but I don't want to downgrade either. Flat out cutting him to save a measly 3M is risky if don't have his replacement under contract. How did that work out in Chicago? The fans and organization want Gould back.
