It’s frustrating to see how things always work out for the cowboys.Β
Β

Their franchise QB goes down, their 4th round rookie becomes their new FQB.

They miss on the CB prospect they wanted so they allocate an unbalanced amount of resources into the LB corps. And their LB becomes a one of a kind player.

their franchise LT goes down and their raw rookie takes over the job without any issues.

They've won like 2 playoffs game in the past 25 years.

Things dont go that well for them.

They draft well - they've drafted pretty good the past couple years I'd say (without looking); however, their overall personnel decisions, coaching decisions and anything that isn't the draft they have not done well at. Not sure what Joe is talking about with things working out tbh.

If only they could play defense.Β

woopty do, you guys were never going to win the SB this year and most people had you being average at best. Just be happy you hit on your 1st round pick WR and hit on a FA WR signing. That O will be ridiculous if you guys get a TE who is more dynamic than Logan in the next year or 2, and if Robinson ends up being a good RB. I didn't think Robinson was anything special, but you never know. Maybe he's a bigger James Robinson or last years version of Cordarrelle.
Either way, Washington O is going to be a real problem if they draft a QB better than Wentz and make improvements to the OL along the way. Defense can mostly be fixed with one good offseason.

If it was only good Carson showing up, you’d be fine most games regardless. But from afar he still has that dumb side that shows up to ruin things.

Are they really that bad?

I can't tell you exactly why the defense is horrific but it is. There seems to be a disconnect from the defensive coaching staff and the players on field.Β  Something isn't clicking. We have 5 first round picks in our front 7 and we can't stop the run. Our linebackers seem lost and our secondary likes to give up big plays.Β

The Eagles big money QB inexplicably becomes awful, their 2nd round rookie QB potentially becomes their new FQB. And they still manage to recoup a 1st round pick for the awful QB.

Their all-pro, future hall of fame LT gets old, but the 7th round rugby player who has never played football before becomes a great tackle in no time at all.

They somehow are able to acquire one of the best young WRs in the game for the same price it took the Cardinals to get Hollywood Brown.

Consistently the least injured team in the NFL for going on a decade now.

Eagles fans have absolutely 0 room to complain about stuff just working out.

Ok listen. You aren't wrong, but the old is straight blasphemy lol. Even the year we won the SB we lost a ton of players to injuries(Carson Wentz for one)... some who came back but many who we lost for the year. Under Doug we were literally one of the most injured teams in the NFL year in and year out.

We have had a lot go our way no doubt, but the injury claim is blatantly false.

You had me until this part of the post. Maybe the last 2 years we have been relatively healthy. But the previous 8, most definitely up thier.Β

Hell the year we won the SB we lost our Starting QB, LT, MLB and RB were all lost for the season. . Just saying.
