I don't think signing Flacco would prevent us from drafting a QB at 10 (specially with Lock on the board), but I can't complain with Jones in the second (I'm not a big fan of Jones, but in the 2nd round would be way better than at 10).

Love the Knox pick......like the tackle pick, tho I don't know if Udoh will be a day 2 pick......also I rather wait a round or two for CB depending how Free Agency goes.

That's quite the haul. Well done as always, @goldfishwars.

What round do you see David Long LB (WVU) being drafted?

Also, Jaquon Johnson was drafted twice on here - to Carolina at 80 and Houston at 87.

Colts pick from Jets is #34 not #35 but I can’t complain about Baker.

Ballard did an interview the other day where he said he’s not as concerned as others are about the Colts WR group because of the strength of the TE group and Ebron in particular. He also emphasized pass rush as a need, as well as his previously made comment about building from the inside out (i.e. line before skill players). I can’t argue that we’re in the smoke screen era of the draft but Ballard has been pretty upfront about his idea of what the team should look like.

With that said I don’t think the Colts would draft a WR or CB in the first. Malik Hooker was an exception to his rule because of the talent. DT or Edge in first.

Haven't done much on linebackers, but will check out Long.

Will fix Jaquon, thanks for the spot.

Bills

Although not sexy, zay Jones and Robert foster have shown a lot of growth and further potential negating imo the need to spend a premium pick on wr. They ought to sign golden Tate to bolster the wide receiver corps.

I think our first rounder has to be the bpa either o line or d line. I'm thinking Jonah Williams or Jeffery Simmons.

Round 2

I would like to see the bills take what they didn't take in rd 1. Ie. Top OT or DT bpa.

Round 3

Would like to see a running back here. Like a Benny Snell Jr.

Round 4

This is where I would look at wide receiver.

Round 5

Gonna take heat for this cause it's early but I would grab Donald Parham tight end out of stetson.

Round 6

Interior o line bpa.

Round 7

Bpa.

A level draft. I think you covered the needs really well. At LB I'd probably prefer Lamar and Joseph but that's about it. With the 2 comp. picks I could see another WR/TE and QB.

I'd be pretty happy with this. BPA at five and a ton of needs all addressed.

We have to eventually find Calais’ replacement. And Ferrell looks to be a good one, despite not necessarily filling the role of a 5-tech big End. I could see the Jaguars doing this. But coming out of round one with defense, with as horrible as our offense is, would be really disheartening.

If you guys sign Foles, would you think they still go with offense in this draft?

Why wouldn’t we?

We have no #1 WR, and our depth there is just okay. We honestly may not even have a true #2 WR, though others would disagree. We have no #1 TE, and really no #2 TE either despite what people want to pretend to believe about O’Shaunessey. We have no RG, and should be moving on from our RT. Our depth across the whole OL is garbage. We will likely only carry over one RB from this year’s team, and his career average is 3.7 YPC.

We could spend the entire draft on offense and still come out with 4-5 needs once everything settles.

I just don't see much offensive players in the top 10 this year apart from the QBs.

I would say Jags are in great place to replace the DL that get the boot because of the cap situation at 7 and then draft WR, TE and OL later.

If you guys trade down from 7 the conversation could be other....lets say Ford, Harry, Metcalf or Hockenson could be in play depending how far the Jags trade down.

I think you’re only going to see one guy get the axe there, and they already drafted his replacement in the first round last year. There’s certainly depth needs there, and some future answers behind others, still. However, I can’t really see that being a priority for a front office that’s going to be fired if this next season doesn’t work out. I think they’ll reach for whatever Tackle they fall in love with, Metcalf or Hockensen and hope a heavy influx of players on offense does enough to buy them more time.
