TheKillerNacho
https://nypost.com/2019/01/29/giants-releasing-connor-barwin-after-one-disappointing-season/ Brought in on a 2-year deal to help transition the team to a 3-4 defense, Barwin notched just six tackles and one sack in his 15 appearances. I think its safe to say his career is nearing its end. His 14.5 sack season in 2014 with the Eagles seems like forever ago.
minutemancl
He is a guy Gettleman seemed to bring in more for what he does in the locker room than on the field. He helped transition to the 3-4 and was a great mentor to Lorenzo Carter. He started getting less and less playing time until he wasn't used at all in the 2nd half of the season. But even when he did play, he did nothing. No impact. I don't think he has anything less, but he did a good job here when you consider everything. Carter loved him and was helped out a lot by Barwin. KManX89
Not surprising, he had no impact and very few snaps last year, plus the emergence of Lorenzo Carter (who I still think they got a steal on in the 3rd round) made it a done deal. The writing was pretty much on the wall.
