IMDB Top 250 for reference:

The Godfather (1, 2, 3).    These movies sucked. I couldn't get through them without falling asleep. I'm honestly amazed these are the top rated movies on most sites.

Inglorious Basterds.     I wanted this to be so good, but I just found it to be way too long. It dragged heavily in the middle.

There Will Be Blood.     Again, I found this incredibly boring. Plus I was aggravated at the ending, which was extremely anticlimactic. Great acting by DDL, but the story was boring.

Harry Potter and the Whatever.     All of these movies make me insane. I never fall asleep in the movie theater. I zonked 5 minutes into a HP film and every time my GF tries to get me to watch them, I pass out immediately.

Fargo.     This was getting so much hype when it came out. Again, just thought it was boring and I couldn't get into the film.

Dark Knight Rises isnt nearly as good as people make it out to be.   The movie as a whole was okay...but the entire 3rd act was flat out bad IMO.     I can watch Batman Begins and especially The Dark Knight over and over again....but I dont find myself wanting to rewatch TDKR much.

Scarface IMO is one of the most overrated movies ever.

Titanic was far from a masterpiece.    It was a cheesy love story with some nice special effects.    The movie didnt earn tons of money because it was great....it did so because females in love with Leo went to see the movie 5+ times.   The movie was rather average.

Black Panther....pretty good, but the fact that its the first superhero movie to get nominated for best picture and some act like its a groundbreaking movie is such a ******* joke....I could go elaborate, but that might not end well.

Probably others, but those ones were the first to come to mind.

Not sure if this counts (reception seems rather "mixed" for this one for reasons I'm about to delve right into), but I'll never understand the love some people have for World War Z.

Massive plot holes aside, this movie is a textbook example of how some films need an R rating. A PG-13 zombie movie, WTF? Yeah, it was every bit as convoluted as it sounds. I get why they did it, but it just doesn't work for this kind of movie. They literally put in shaky cams so you don't see any human carnage at many points in the movie just to avoid an R rating, not to mention having zombies conveniently slow down and many other contrivances ALL THROUGHOUT the film when they're about to devour Pitt in order to ensure his survival the film (see plot holes). I won't go into detail, the WWZ Honest Trailer explains it better than I ever could.

The writing and direction were both very much affected by its PG-13 rating, and not in a good way, either. This is why zombie movies usually don't carry such a rating.

Both Forrest Gump and Shawshank are vastly overrated. They are pretty good movies, but they shouldnt be mentioned anywhere near the best movies of all time. Pulp Fiction, The Professional, and Quiz Show are all superior movies that came out in 1994.

The Dark Knight is overrated just because its not even the best Nolan Batman movie. Batman Begins gets that honor.

I agree with every one of these except for LOTR and Lock, Stock, and 2 Smoking Barrels.

I don't care about the characters in LOTR (except for Gandalf, Legolas and Aragorn), but I do still like them enough to watch them once every 5-ish years.

With LS2SB, I think the fact that you can't understand a word anyone is saying is part of the charm and appeal to the movie.  It has been a long time since I've seen it though.

Other than these, specifically from the IMDB top 250...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly was pretty overrated and an extreme snoozefest.  Once Upon a Time in the West was Leone's crowning achievement.

Forrest Gump was not some masterpiece.  It was mildly charming.  Nothing more.

Life is Beautiful was stupid and people only love it because they don't know what in TF they just watched with it mixing humor in the most utterly depressing scenario.  It's also a victim of the, "If you don't love this movie, you are a Nazi," type mentality where you're supposed to like it even though it wasn't all that great from a filmmaking perspective or from really any perspective other than subverting expectations and having some allegedly profound life outlook.

Whiplash was alright, but being some great movie?  Lol, no.  It had a strong acting performance from one actor in an otherwise forgettable story with nothing profound whatsoever and it will drop completely off all top lists in ten years.

The Green Mile, too.  What was profound about that?  With all the SJW stuff that completely eviscerates movies, why is it that the magical ***** (it's a thing) trope hasn't been thoroughly attacked with this movie?

American History X, too.  Like... What in TF?  Spend a whole movie about the dangers of extreme racism and how blind it is only to reaffirm racism at the end?

Cinema Paradiso was horse trash and one of those movies where one person called it a masterpiece and nobody else was willing to call him out for it, and that proclamation of greatness somehow follows far too long.

Coco.  It had no heart and no soul and no humor and none of the charm whatsoever of any of the actually good Pixar movies.  It was awful.

Oldboy was just stupid with a twist so unnerving that it made people think it was a great movie.

A Separation.  Literally nothing about this movie was worthwhile.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is proof that the quirkiest, nonsensical drivel can find a fanbase.

Requiem for a Dream.  Drugs are bad and they make you lose an arm and become a sex exhibitionist.  Got it.

Children of Heaven.  Can't really feel bad for an irresponsible kid.  Don't lose the shoes maybe.

Scarface.  Al Pacino with an accent and stubborn pride and no brain just doesn't do it for me.

2001: A Space Odyssey.  It's a beautiful film full of pointless drivel.  It's not a movie, it's pretentious art.

Lawrence of Arabia was neither exciting nor engaging nor worth watching.  Top 10 boringest movie I have ever watched.

Three Billboards, Room, A Beautiful Mind, Casino, I'm sick of this.

The Matrix... Never made it through the first one awake.  So never continued the series.

Almost anything Jim Carrey.  Loved him on In Living Color.  He never gave me anything new or different.

All of the historical fiction love stories (Pearl Harbor, Titanic, ect).  Just not my thing

Sequels in the Jaws and Rocky series.  Bigger sg=harks still die.  Rocky wins vs insurmountable odds.

The Thor franchise.,  Not good, although Ragnorok was better with the humor.

The Godfather trilogy.  Probably unfair since I didn't see it when it was fresh and somewhat new.  Only recently sat down and watched it.  It was okay, but I was expecting more.

The Force Awakens  As a stand alone, it mimicked ANH far too much. and I prefer The Last Jedi.  As part of a trilogy, I view them the opposite.  TFA had to set some things up, but TLJ seemed to take a leak all over it.

Never even liked the concept of the Twilight series, but my daughter loved  it so I sat begrudgingly through a couple.  same with Bnger Games, but that was at least a bit interesting through 1.5 movies.

I would have liked The Hobbit/LOTG a lot better if they weren't so long and monotonous
