Graham Stinson is falling waaaaaay down draft boards.  He's been 88-90 through his first two starts with iffy control.  Was the consensus top college pitcher heading into the season.  Still has time to rebound, but he hasn't looked good.

He's fat and cant replicate the delivery........saw this a mile away.

So knowing nothing about these guys....Could someone tell me a bit more on Spencer Jones? Is he a hard Vandy Commit? The very little I've seen, I think his future is definitely on the mound, Is that the consensus?

I haven't looked into the high school side of things too much yet.  Hard to get info there sometimes.  Only thing I've heard recently is that CJ Abrams is considered a top 5 pick now, maybe top 3.

In general, Vandy commits are going to be tough to sign unless you take them in round 1 or a 7 figure bonus in lower rounds.  Similar for a lot of the top schools.  I so wanted the Reds to find a way to sign Tommy Mace a couple years back, but Hunter Greene got his over slot money and that pretty much made it impossible.

Nah Vandy kids are uniquely tough signs. Almost all of them really. They recruit so well it's crazy

I know very little about the prep guys at this point.  Hopefully I will have some time to get up to speed on them over the next month or so.  But as Rams said, Vandy commits are extremely hard to pry away.

That was fun to look at, even if I don't know much about the prep players.

Logan Davidson seems like a Cubs pick (up the middle college hitter) but he has been fairly terrible in 2 tries on the Cape.  This FO puts a great deal of stock in Cape performances.  Strumpf seems like a guy they would like, given his really good wood bat league performances.

I don't see the Tigers passing on Witt at this point.  They need bats to go with their arms they already have.  They may not want someone so far away but would likely take the chance or draft a college bat like Jung or Langeliers.

4 straight years in taking big arm pitchers with their first pick(Mize, Faedo, Manning, Burrows). Thats a pattern like the White Sox taking 6 straight college guys. It could definitely change this season, but until then Ill project an arm like Espino.

Witt is also going through big prospect fatigue right now, and could be a faller like Turang last draft.

Yeah, the prep players are hard right now. I havent done much research on them. I was mostly going off scouting reports from the top guys for a lot of them.

Someone is going to take Davidson too high. I dont love him because of the reasons you stated. He has been awful in the Cape, and he does have swing and miss issues. There are tools though that some team will probably fall in love with and will take him higher than he should, especially if they think he can stick at short. Logan Warmouth, Kevin Newman, Richie Martin, Alex Blandino, and Kevin Merrell are all middle of the field guys that have been taken in the first round in the past five years that had no place going as high as they did because of their abilities to play in the middle of the field.

Unlike Turang though, Witt has plus power though.  The bat speed is real.  I don't see him falling anything like Turang did last year, he's still a SS with plus power, run, arm, and defense.  As a Reds fan, i'd be thrilled if he fell to 7, he's exactly the kind of guy they need and he could take over for Jose Peraza in 3-4 years.

Andrew Vaughn making a strong case for being the first ever back to back golden spikes winner.  Through Cal's first 10 games he has 7 HR and is hitting .529/.680/1.176 for a 1.856 OPS after a 4 home run weekend.  Even as a 1B/DH player, if i'm Kansas City, I think long and hard about Vaughn at #2.  Rutschman is a lock at #1 (rightfully so), but Vaughn has a strong argument as the clear premier bat in the draft.  Plus hit and plus power, potentially double plus at both.

I want to disagree with this, but I can't.  That bat is so legit.
