KingOfNewYork
Packers game. D-Line was getting a lot of pressure on Rodgers. Leo gets ejected and we didn’t get any pressure the rest of the game.

He does his job and does it well. Sure it would be nice if he finished some of the pressures but if we had some EDGE heat to pair with him...oh boy

Pretty sick of this narrative. He’s one of the best players from his draft class. Where he was taken should have no effect on the Jets decision to extend him or not. The fans that think the Jets should trade him or not extend him are the ones who bought into any hype that he was a generational prospect. Those kind of players don’t fall to the 6th pick. He was always a raw prospect with tremendous tools.
KBS756
Leo is a great player who seems to be still improving don’t get the negativity around him ...
Bobby816
The thing with Leo is that he was drafted high and quite frankly hasn't lived up to his draft spot. Especially considering who we had already at his position at the time he was drafted. Whether you care to compare that or not, is up to you. But for me he will always be connected in that way. That he better be so damn good that we drafted a 3-4 DLineman when we already had Mo, Sheldon and Snacks that he should be the best 3-4 DE in the damn league to draft him with that talent already in place. He's a good player. But he isn't great and to choose him where we did with what we already had, he hasn't lived up to that. Luckily he's still young and can change my mind. If you want to compare them then Mo got paid and was a locker room cancer so WIlliams basically replaced that waste of space. In that scenario WIlliams was a need and a good pick considering Beasley was the other option and clearly not as good. Leo is better than Sheldon too even though Sheldon is still a really good player. We could have kept those two and not been overloaded with DE's since Mo just basically stopped caring. We should have let Mo walk, kept Snacks with Sheldon and Leo. Huge miss by Macc.

Mo’s laziness & poor attitude was hidden by how great the line was around him. It only started to magnify once Smacks left then once Sheldon got traded. Bobby816
I'm hoping Williams puts him more spots to make plays, not just alter plays.

Gregg Williams uses twists/stunts as much as any defensive coordinator in the league. Leo has always excelled at them. Should really open things up for Leo production wise. jetsfan4life51
As Much as Mo dogged us and Sheldon was an off the field issue, Leo has NEVER taken over games like they have. He's not very noticeable. Doesn't mean he's not good but he's definitely one of the overrated Jets. Some fans act like he's All Pro/Pro Bowl caliber. F*ck Mike DeVito has played 3-4 end better than him.

That would have been a great DL moving forward. Good luck running on that line. Easy to say in hind sight though because Mo probably had the best single season out of any of them with his double digit sack year. We all expected to have him and Leo both having double digit sacks consistently. A good DC could have found a way to work all three on the field in a 3-3 nickel with Leo at 1-tech or 4-3 with Sheldon as a strong side DE lined up as a 5-tech. Both Sheldon and Mo seemed to not be great team players though with their attitudes. Oh well.
