DeSean Jackson
Would you guys trade our second and next years 4 for Frank Clark and give him Demarcus Lawrence contract? Take Wilkins Oliver or tillery first round and then BPA at the other second? The dline would be ELITE and will have a great 3 man rotation at DE and DT. Howie did say build at the lines. No. We wouldn't be able to afford Wentz next year. Or anyone. We have very few good players who are on rookie deals. We need to get some more of those. No DE's available at our 25th pick would likely improve our pass rush this year. Our best bet to improve the DL for this season is adding that stud 3rd DT, or really hitting on a mid round DE like Crosby/Hollins/Gustin/Cominsky/Bryant/Brailford/Darryl Johnson. I could see us trading for a DE too, but only for one that's still on their rookie deal. We aren't trading for a guy that's about to get Fletcher Cox money. We could afford that and give him 18 mill this year 16 mill next year and 23 the year after and then have a 3 year out like Lawrence does. We can def make it happen. As long as we make the fifth year 26 million like Demarcus contract. I say 18 mill this year because we have a lot to cap space still and next year we will have Wentz on his 5th year and then we resign him to a contract with his first year pretty cheap and that’s when Clark will b getting paid a lot. And salary cap will go up

Odd contract structure. Trust the Howie.
DeSean Jackson
Eagles just cleared up another 5 mill by converting Ertz contract into signing bonus. Should be around 25-26 mill in cap... why do this if we don’t have a move. Maybe we can get Frank Clark, he will be better then anyone we can get in the second and be a huge addition. Gotta see the guy stay healthy for once. Edited April 13, 2019 by ninjapirate
Jroc04
I’d rather roll the dice, sign him at a discount before we see some other resignings occur. That’s a good negotiation chip to have if the guy is constantly on the mend.
