As for Reid, how did he play? The only game I watched from him was the Philly game.
atown703
very happy to bring back Reid. He was pretty solid and we will need a veteran to help push Gaulden or our future rookie
ttitansfan4life
Hate to see Vaccaro’s contract now... Titans need him back though. Byard and Vaccaro made up arguably the best safety duo last year. Wanted Reid over Vaccaro after Cyprien tore his ACL. Both seemed to have played damn good last season. The guy was good enough to earn himself a 3 year deal worth 22 mil yet couldn't get signed at all until an injury opened up a spot for him? A guy that was plenty capable of starting in this league, and the only offer he could get was a vet min backup deal. It's not like he suddenly wasn't any good and then became good again. Kiwibrown
Seems a bit steep, more of a 4-5 million per year guy imo. I wouldnt pay much for a SS
Sean Casto
We use him as a joker linebacker in the box. Lots of disguised coverages, ext. If he can wrap up his tackles, he'll be worth it.
SkippyX
Carolina gave up 20 points per game in 3 games before they signed him. They gave up 25.7 over the 12 real games he played (Saints rested in week 17) 23.2 ppg in 11 if you want to throw out the Steelers rout as an aberration He was a loud-mouth about drug testing and he was fined 2 or 3 times for cheap shots. Sounds like a 3 year 21 million dollar deal is in order. We all thought the Coleman deal in New Orleans was crazy at 3 years 16. I guess this money is paid with the hope that they see 2013 Eric Reid. That guy has not been seen in 5 years.

This signing is front loaded so we can basically can him after 19 and be no worse cap wise. 3 years for 22 mil is reasonable and is starting safety money. The defence as a whole last year was a **** show because we had a rookie playcaller with rookie assistants under him. Luke #59 even looked pedestrian most of the season until Ron took over the defence. Then, it was night and day.
