"Hey UNI, it's Detective Johnny Bananas with the so-and-so PD. Yeah turns out your RB is using a child porn video on his phone to threaten his ex-girlfriend and by the way the dip **** did everything electronically so my dog could clip on a tie and successfully prosecute him."

"Oh that sounds serious. Okay we'll do nothing."

"Well that's stupid, but yeah let me know when I can speak to him because I'd like to add on a couple more charges to really make sure he's going away for a few years."

"You want some tickets to the game next Saturday? He'll be getting some 4th quarter snaps."

JFC Nebraska why the **** did we let you into the Big 10.

Yeah it’s time to fire everyone.

I don't know how any program could be this inept.  I completely understand the program was a dumpster fire this year and not at all what they expected out of Frost's first season, but someone needed to have enough common sense to get the kid off the field and suspend him.

How has this made nothing more than a side bar news link on any major news outlet? Had to go to the CFB home page for ESPN just to find it.

Everybody's tacit agreement that "Revenge porn child porn story is monumentally bad optics" so the NCAA and ESPN are just hush hushing it hoping it'll just sink away. It's supremely gross.

TLDR for those jumping to opinions:

The incident happened March of last year. Frost and company didn't know until during the season. Asked if there was cause for concern and were told not to worry about it. Nebraska administration referred him to a lawyer who handled all communication with officials in California. Didn't necessarily give full line of communication to the University.

So no this isn't a sex scandal anywhere near Baylor. Despite how desperate you all are for it.

The girl was caught in a ten seconds video giving a consensual encounter. It got spread around school and she and the two boys were expelled. She made communication with Washington last year and he lashed out at her by sending the video back in a text.

The coaching staff were told to let the legal process play out and that there wasn't anything to be concerned about. Obviously they were told wrong.

Oh, good, you admitted he sent that video to her. 2 questions, each from my dog who happens to be wearing his prosecutor tie.

How old was she in the video?
Does California, which has jurisdiction here, have a revenge porn law?

We're not "desperate" for anything. This is gross. Your starting RB had child porn on his phone, and used it to threaten someone.

And if they erred on the side of caution, they wouldn't have done anything wrong other than letting the situation play out, and if they had done that and nothing was wrong, the player would get a year of eligibility back for sure.  Pretty bad move here either way by the coaching staff and school.

Which is why he's in trouble. No one is defending Washington. We're talking about the uni. Keep up.

And he wasn't our starter. He was the back up and he figured to be so as well this year with the additional of several others including a former GTech standout.

Most Universities with something of this magnitude suspend the guy during the investigation. Poorly handled, to be sure.

That's what you aren't understanding: They didn't know it would be this bad.

The information wasn't fully relayed to the coaching staff.

When is child and revenge porn ever not bad?  That's the problem I have.  There is nothing wrong with taking the guy out of the program to figure everything out.  He would still have a year of eligibility, and if he played more than four games and they had to request a waiver for a fifth season, it's likely granted, provided he was the wronged party in this instance.....but that doesn't seem to be the case.
