only 2.6 this year, only save a million with a cut. I wish he had any ball skills whatsoever, but he's not bad and he plays tough. I'd probably keep him around.

Damn this is his 3rd year with us too huh? We got him for super cheap. I agree, solid depth player but if he was around 4 or 5 I'd say cut him.

Eh, I don't think Marsh will be on the chopping block this year. At least not right now. I think if any edge guy(s) are going to cut before FA, it will be Watson. Sad as it is to say, Marsh was probably our best "pure" edge guy this year.

Feels like Coyle, Garcon and possibly M. Smith may be next. But given our LB issues, I could see us holding onto Smith again and waiting until next off-season when he has a minimal cap hit (IIRC).

Sam Sam Sam. Sam Sam Sam. Sam Sam Sam. Sam Sam Sam. Sam Sam Sam. Sam Sam Sam. Sam Sam Sam. Sam Sam Sam.

1 yr tryout. We will do no better in 2019 there, and he might just do very well in the role.

Nice, but I hope we get to around 70M when free agency starts up. Who is the next vet cut?

This was my rough prediction of cuts from my mock offseason. These figures are rounded up to make it cleaner:

Pierre Garcon WR - 1 million in savings

Garry Gilliam OT - 5 million in savings

Malcolm Smith OLB - 1 million in savings

Earl Mitchell DT - 3 million in savings

Cassius Marsh DE - 4 million in savings

Dekota Watson DE - 1.5 million in savings

Erik Magnuson OG/C - 600k in savings

Brock Coyle ILB - 1.4 million in savings

Pretty much getting rid of all the big FA signings we made in year 1 of the Shanny/Lynch experiment. Great!!!!!

Really sucks that we have all this cap space in a season where damn near half the league has 50M+ to play with. SMH.

The fact we've had to over pay everyone we've ever signed means either we haven't been shy with our initial offer or we haven't been a desirable place to play.

Other employers in silicon valley have to pay a premium to get people to move here for work, because the cost of living is so much higher, so it makes sense.

Hopefully we spend some coin on players who are actually worth it next year

Garoppolo was the highest paid player in the NFL last year, we paid him over 10 million per start lol

Take a look at Mike Edwards from Kentucky. Pretty impressive as well and probably could be had in the 3rd.

Hadn't seen him before, seems like a decent player. I don't think he has Adderley's COD, ball skills or range in preliminary viewing. But not bad. Seems to be around the ball alot. I'd have to see more before I would say he could be a single high safety.
