Just Want A Title
This must have taken a huge amount of effort. Props for including salary cap, free agents and un-drafted free agents after the draft. Not a big fan of signing Jordan Hicks or DJ Fluker. Preston Smith might be a better OLB fit. Kareem Jackson is solid and and would really settle our #2CB position down while we develop a younger CB. Your trade back was realistic. I am OK with taking Hockenson in Round 1 because I think he can do a lot of damage on intermediate routes and is already an awesome blocker. I think we need more OLB/pass rush help than just Trey Flowers. Williams seems built more like a safety than a CB but I don't know much about him. The rest of the draft looks solid. Great work! I'll have to share my thoughts after I've been able to break things down a bit better. Thanks for all of the hard work as per usual.
Sllim Pickens
You know my thoughts on TE, I just don't think they have enough of an impact to be drafted that high. I have never liked it when a team picks one that high and never will consider them valuable enough to go that high. I would trade pick 11 for Gronk 9 years ago but that's about it. Overall I don't mind the final outcome but would rather draft DE/Edge in the 1st or 2nd. Overall this feels like something Quinn would do and I would go into the season similar to last season in thinking we are going to be a 6 win team. diehardlionfan
The fact you signed Flowers makes the trade down and a first round TE palatable. I would prefer they stand pat and draft another lineman but I could live with it. You put a great deal of work into this.very well thought out. Karnage84
Unrestricted FA's: Looks good to me RFA/ERFA's: Ditto Released/Retired: I think that Lang is likely going to be back on a re-structured deal. Maybe they work it down to what his dead cap would look like ($2.2M) if he's cut/retires. I think he still wants to be here and he's a leader in the locker room. They obviously can't afford to keep him at his current salary/production. That seems like it would be a win-win. The others look fairly accurate Free Agents: Flowers: The only way that he leaves New England is if he's going to get paid. I'm guessing that we're going to see a deal between $85M - $90M for 5 years ($17M - $18M/year). He's young at 26, highly productive and highly versatile. There's scheme familiarity and coach familiarity which has to play a role in things. He already has 2 SB rings. Going to a team like Detroit with the potential to be a key piece in bringing the team over the hump has to be appealing. K. Jackson: This seems like a good signing and the money looks right. Robert Alford just signed a new 3 year deal with Atlanta at 30 years old. Jackson is a year older but is still very productive. This would be a solid bridge move while we develop our next young CB Others: Outside of Fluker, the rest are decent if I might choose something different. The TE FA class is pretty light but there are guys with upside potential like Uzomah or Jesse James that could pan out to be better with more opportunity Trade: This would be great but I don't expect this to happen Draft: Trade Down: I do think there's a good chance that we'll trade down. Depending on who is available at 8, I don't know if getting a 3rd is worth it unless Hockenson is the pick at 8 or at 11. Hockenson: We definitely need to upgrade the position and he seems to be the best of the bunch. TE's usually take time to develop, it's a deep TE draft and I'm expecting some solid defensive talent to be available at pick #8 or #11. If we could get a 2019 2nd or more then it might make more sense to me to make that move. Williams: I do think that we need to address the secondary early. Deiter: If you're bringing in Fluker to replace TJ on a multi-year contract, drafting Deiter with the third pick seems to be a heavy investment. If you're drafting an OG in the first three rounds you're looking for them to step in and play a big role right away. Williams: I think this would make more sense if we were to trade Riddick away to clear up some cap space Hart: His size is a concern but reports are that he did well in the Senior Bowl practices. I didn't watch the game but apparently he was a no show there. This gives me pause, especially in round 4 Cowart: I don't know enough about him but I don't hate addressing the DL Warring: Could wind up being the better value out of the two TE's Locke: Don't know enough about him but also don't hate adding to the secondary, especially at safety McMaryion: We do need to develop a QB behind Stafford. However, with Cook and Cassell in the mix I don't know if we need to draft a guy. He's also on the smaller side (6'2 and 203 lbs) with questionable arm strength. FB: We just drafted Bawden and have Bellore on the roster. I don't see the value in drafting another FB. Overall, this is a tremendous level of effort. I certainly tip my hat to you on it. I have something of my own on the way but it won't be quite as detailed as this one.

Wouldn't be surprised if they did do this. If something like that happens, Literally final straw. lol.
