O...B...J... IS A CLEVELAND BROWN

Recommended Posts

God yes please. Franchises have had this terrible practice of surrounding their franchise qbs with average WRs hoping they can bring them up. Occasionally this works but the few teams we’ve seen an elite WR paired with an elite qb it’s been explosive.

Yeah but Garrett and Baker are the big ones.  Those don't occur for 4-5 years.  We have that window to acquire the best team possible to win championships.

that is the average of top safetys, if he improves again on next year tha is what he will get.

Ward might be off by 2 million, but no more, get up to date, brah.

you want roll over cap before the contract comes up, so for Gareet he is in year 3 now of a year deal. you get roll over cap for 2 years before hand isnt it? or is it 3? either way we need to start saving.

If you can use assets to get superstars you do it.

Oh ok.

So how many assets?  Is there a limit, or just as many as it takes cuz “superstar”?

When the hell did there ever become a correlation between elite WR’s and titles anyway?  Who was the last “superstar” WR (say top 3-5 in the league) to win a Super Bowl?  Harrison like 13 years ago?

Quarterbacks and defenses win titles, not WR’s.

Yeah but if they had an elite WR would they have lost to the Eagles?

The defense held the Eagles and their backup QB to only 41 and they couldn’t come away with the dub.

So?

What do you mean, so?

The guy we all hate listening to commentate games all fall said we should do something.

What more proof could you need?

OBJ would be sexy, but w have too many needs at DT, DE, TE, LB, CB to worry about W, above average - good guys can be ound at WR easily, not so much the other positions listed.

not much of a worry on defense if your putting up infinite points on offense?

If it did happen, I wouldn't hate it simply for the obvious fact that we'd be getting an elite WR. However, do I think he's worth the picks AND the huge cap hit AND potentially the drama he may bring? No. It'd be one thing if we were a player away, but we still have a few needs to address. Plus, we'll have to use our cap space to extend our current players.
