Lindstrom is a good value in round 3, but I think in round 1, for me, a trade down, Ed Oliver, or devin white makes more sense than Gary. For me Gary is a great example of both the proverbial “man without a position” and also a classic underachiever given his pedigree. I just don’t see it with Gary.

Great GB draft!  Wilkens on the DL.  With the first group of EDGES gone, this makes a ton of sense.

Fant at #30.  We need a tight end for today and especially for the future.  Great pick!

Burns at #44.  Steal of the draft.  Easy to put on muscle and bulk up.  The key is whether or not it comes with loss of speed/power.  Great value there.

McGovern at #76.  G/C.  GB needs help inside badly and having one that can backup center is even better.

While this isn't my ideal draft (ideal would include Ferrell), this is a great haul.  I'm unsure if Burns will fall that far (think he'll blow up the combine), but great effort and thank you for the read!

I have stated how I feel about Oliver in the Bucs forum. With the switch to the 3-4 I don’t see Oliver as being a fit. I understand it is a one gap scheme, but I still don’t like him having to hold up in run situations. Gary on the other hand is the perfect player for a 3-4 one gap scheme in my opinion. Has the ability to penetrate and cause disruption, but also strong enough to anchor against the run.

There is no way Pats take a WR in the 1st round. Based on your draft I would trade the pick and get one in the second round. IMO the Pats don't value WR position. Pats have used many different guy over the years that have filled in just fine. Many have been free agents or low round drafted players. As a fan I would love to see a big time WR however I don't BB cares !

Kept trades out of it.. Ideally I want my Bills to trade back

Ironically @CHOMP_CHOMP who handled TB as a TB fan said Lindstrom went too low. If Tampa is going base 3/4, Gary immediately jumps Oliver, Simmons, Williams regardless of talent. Gary is a dream 3/4 fit who can line inside and if develops secondary moves, I feel could move out on the edge.

Like you said, for you guys it was Gary or Jonah.. Gary is as 3/4 prototypical as they come imo

I honestly think that if need be you could shoot Gary out on the edge on passing downs. His speed plays question is can he develop secondary moves?

Insane that EDGE guys like Burns, Polite and Zach Allen may not go 1st round, 9/10 times they're 1st round talents.. I'd grade all 3 on par if not better than Marcus Davenport who went mid 1 last year. Draft is THAT deep

I like the positions taken for the Falcons overall as we hit the trenches hard and thats what we need to do for the 1st 3 rounds.   I personally wouldn't take each guy we took in each round at those 3 positions we took though as im meh on each of them except jenkins who i like alot in the 3rd round.    Sweat and Tillery don't do much for me overall i would have much rather taken Dexter Lawrence at 14 with Wilkins and Oliver already taken and then in round 2 take either Lindstrom, Risner, or Oshane  Now if we can somehow snag Jefferey Simmons in round 4 then thats gives us that elite level DT we need and we can stash him for another year and it takes some ease off of passing on a 1st round DT this year for Sweat and settling for Tillery.

Im guessnig the Simmons to miami thing at 12 was a messup with him tearing his acl and needing surgery and he goes later than round 2 or 3 now?

OK, Don't get me wrong I like it overall however I don't see WR like Brown for the Pats. IMO the picks would be slightly different .

32  Zach Allen, EDGE, Boston College
56   Taylor Rapp, S, Washington (Chung replacement)
64   JJ Arcegna-Whiteside, WR, Stanford  ( ideal for Pats offense)

" I see a player on film who can generate throwing windows regularly with great route-running, situational understanding, and good burst. "

https://thedraftnetwork.com/2019/02/15/video-jj-arcega-whiteside-can-separate-downfield/
74   Germaine Pratt, LB, North Carolina

Now this would work. Also the Pats have depth at LB, 2 rookies (IR) from last year, one was a starter before his injury, Bentley.  They might go a different direction. But I would keep Pratt at 74  because he is a steal at 74 and one of my favorite players coming out.

Over all great job on the draft.
