Sean Davis isn't nearly the playmaker or cover talent that Adderley is. Adderley can be fooled by play fakes, but he's not the technical mess that Davis was. Davis was a raw, athletic guy who hit hard, but was also prone to a ton of missed tackles and mistakes on the back-end. That's not at all Adderley. Grady Jarrett was athletic for his size, but he was known for being an undersized nose who was an absolute ox and sneaky athletic. The guy didn't come close to having the athleticism of a LB. Oliver doesn't have the power game that characterized Jarrett. They're just not that comparable. Simmons is country strong, dude. He's freakishly strong for his size. There's natural strength there for sure, since when he commonly gets too tall he's not completely rooted out every time, but his game is quickness not power. If he's expected to sit in there and be stout it's not going to happen. Jarrett's weakness was his size and his ability to consistently be stout. He would've gone a lot higher otherwise. His game as an undersized DT has always been about explosive movement and hustle. Fair enough on Adderley. Even tacking on a "faster" Kyle Rudolph, Fant is just a completely different sort of Athlete all around. Tugboat Posted April 16, 2019 Share Posted April 16, 2019 I've got a softball to lob up, that i'm surprised not to have seen in this thread yet: Emanuel Hall = Mike Wallace. I don't know that he'll be as successful as Wallace has been, landing in the right offenses to take advantage of his skillset. But if Hall is going to find a way in the league, it's going to be following in pretty much that exact mold just burning downfield and hopefully holding onto the football when it arrives. Lid-lifting Nines for days sort of specialist. Makes him kinda hard for me to place because if he does end up as successful at it as Wallace, he's worth something. Honestly, while I like this one, I think Savage is Karl Joseph without the injury issues.
