I think it'll be a traditional wing (PG) or big (Gobert) that wins it despite Giannis posting the highest defensive rating in the league on the best defensive team. He'll just have to settle for Most Valuable Player...
Pastor Dillon
PG should win it. Hands down.

beekay414
Giannis is 1st in D RTG, 1st in D Win Shares, 2nd in Defensive BPM (0.1 behind Gobert) but, hey, its PG "hands down."
RandyMossIsBoss
Gobert. He should win it, and I think he will. Perimeter guys simply can not make near the same impact on the defensive end as big men can, so I'm always rolling with the best rim protector when it comes to DPOY. Perimeter guys don't get it often either, just Kawhi (x2) and Artest in the last 20+ years, so even though Giannis and PG have had great defensive years, I think Gobert remains safe pick. He has the reputation as reigning DPOY, and has backed it up with his play, will be hard not to vote for him.
11sanchez11
I don't like giving it to guys who might be liabilities in the playoffs. Gobert and Embiid can get picked on when teams go small ball.

Draymond gets credit for that. Not sure why that's a knock on Giannis now.
MVPatrickMahomes15
You guys are boring. They always give it to a center. They should give it to Paul George this season.
the lone star
Yeah, Paul George is another great pick.
nlesthought
Jrue PG Draymond Gobert (as many chances that he gets on a nightly basis I expected that block number closer to the 90s era)
