I stole this idea from Counselor and am making some modifications to run one for myself:

I am going to steal Techbert and Jrry’s Idea and try out my own one team simulation. I will start with the current Denver Broncos roster and draft pick slotting (since they are my favorite team) and move them to Anchorage Alaska. I lived in Alaska for a year and like the idea of there being a team in the most populated city. The Team will be called the Wolves as they are pack animals and there is no other sport that relies on the whole team more than football. The roster is locked from right now but I will include the Joe Flacco trade. With any real life trades or cuts if I haven’t made them already I will have a 24 hour period to agree to make the same move or not from when I first learn of it and post my time stamp. I will work with the current cap space and sign free agents at their actual contracts they are offered and attempt to fit them under my cap. I will draft at real time also based on what players are available and make trades if I desire within 50 points of the trade value chart. I will determine what I believe my current record would be. And that will determine future draft pick seeding.

Instead I am not going to start with a prior team, and instead enlist current FAs and cherry pick some mocked "unprotected" players from existing rosters somewhat like how NFL Expansion teams did. Then I will begin with pick 0 of each round of the NFL draft for the first year before self-evaluating what pick I will have in the following years. I will also manage the team's cap space and can adopt any irl FA signing with the following conditions: 1. can not "steal" an NFL FA signing if the real signing team is a contending team and the St Louis Music are not. 2. If the St. Louis Music are a bottom 10 team the adopted contract is given a 10% premium. 3. If the adopted NFL FA signing is a premium player and the St. Louis Music are a middling team a 5% premium is added to the contract. 4. If starting potential is available on the St. Louis Music, but the real awarded team projects as rotation or depth, then rule 1 can be waived. 4. Can not adopt the contracts of FAs of other teams who resign with the team they last played on.

Coaching I will cherry pick a staff from the NFL that is not currently employed, or is employed at a lower coaching position (I can promote an OC from an existing team to HC of the Music for example). All coaching contracts are 4 years and I lose coordinators if they are hired in real life to HC.

St. Louis Music

Coaching hires:
Kris Richard, Head Coach (Dallas Cowboys DB & Passing Game Coordinator)
Marcus Brady, Offensive Coordinator (Indianapolis Colts QB Coach)
Aaron Glenn, Defensive Coordinator (New Orleans Saints DB Coach)

The Jaguars selected 36 players from NFL teams when they were added to the league, so here we go (I am going to limit myself to one player from each team):
01. Sean Lee, LB Dallas Cowboys, 2019 cap hit $10,075,000

06. Blake Martinez, MLB Green Bay Packers, 2019 cap hit $2,140,849

I don't see any way that GB would expose Martinez for an expansion draft.  Typically the players that are exposed to be selected are under performing players with less than ideal contracts.  Martinez is certainly not that.

Candidates from GB would be Nick Perry, Mike Daniels, Jimmy Graham, Tramon Williams

I do like this way. Maybe I’ll do the expansion league way! How did you decide who would be available to pick?

I am going to go with something like you posted with drafting in real time while watching the draft. I am going to be essentially the first pick in each round and as long as they haven't been selected I can take them. Obviously some issues like when I pick someone and then they are picked again in the same round but lower, but kind of have to just roll with it because they will be starting on two teams I guess lol.

I don’t think you’d find a player on his rookie contract that plays a significant role as a rotational player on our defense as an unprotected player from the Vikings.

Andrew Sendejo, Everson Griffen, Mike Remmers, and Laquan Treadwell are the names you’d likely be choosing from.

I picked up Treadwell and a bunch of other league wide overpriced bums in mine.

apparently expansion teams start out with extra picks, so maybe we wouldn't have been as bad last year! I'm going to make believe, since it's all make believe, that I traded them all to this year and now I have a surprise haul of 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7 that I wasn't expecting! Yay!
