The Athletic reports the Jets are interested in free agent OG Rodger Saffold.

Per reporter Connor Hughes, the Jets will have to "compete heavily for (Saffold's) services." Although he is going on 31, Saffold is one of the three-to-four best interior linemen available in this year's free agent class.

The Jets aren’t just interested in adding a running back to alleviate pressure from quarterback Sam Darnold. They’ll be in the mix for a wideout or two as well. Keep an eye on Donte Moncrief and Danny Amendola when the new league year begins, along with Cowboys receiver Cole Beasley, according to league sources. Beasley, 29, has established himself as a reliable slot receiver down in Dallas and a favorite target of Dak Prescott. He caught 65 passes for 672 yards and three touchdowns last season. He’d be a tremendous addition and safety net for Darnold if Dallas lets him get away.

I heard from one high-profile agent who is well versed in the running back market that the Jets are “undeniably the favorite” to sign the Steelers running back. Another, however, said that while the Jets would pursue Bell and shouldn’t be ruled out, they aren’t alone, with the Eagles and Buccaneers also in the running.

If the Jets do miss Bell, Atlanta’s Tevin Coleman is someone they think highly of.

Eagles and Cowboys are interested in Duke Johnson.

Only way I see it happening is if it’s for a mid round pick. We can’t have Nick Chubb carrying it 25+ times and praying he doesn’t break down before Kareem Hunt is eligible to play.

You can replace those carries via the draft at a fraction of the cost while offloading his contract.

Not for RB3 once Hunt returns. Wasn't he underused anyway last season?

It’s cheap when your franchise routinely has 80+ million in cap space every year.

Hue Jackson is a moron. Kitchens actually used him.
