Spencer is done for year (PCL)

Recommended Posts

Very sad. Always seems like something happens each season to derail us. I guess grabbing another RB will be high on our shopping list for next spring's draft.

The PCL they could handle. It's the PCL combined with lateral damage that indicates surgery. We will probably also see more of West, at least initially. Liking the Hunt pick even more now.

Spencer Ware has been diagnosed with a torn PCL and LCL in his right knee and is out for the season.

He'll undergo surgery and faces a long, grueling rehab. This is more significant than ACL and MCL damage, so Ware could be facing long odds of being ready in time for Week 1 of next season. Turning 26 in November, Ware is under contract for a modest $1.45 million in 2018, the final year of his deal. Kareem Hunt, Charcandrick West, and C.J. Spiller will make up the Chiefs' backfield.

Didn't realize his contract was that cheap!

Yep, that was the parallel deal when West and Ware got identical contracts two years ago

That sucks. I was hoping he could come back healthy this year and be the guy. But, I really like Hunt and think he can succeed.

Obviously sucks that Ware got injured, but Hunt was superb in his debut. He may not have had the same opportunities if Ware was around. Silver linings and all that.
