Chiefs_5627
AB to Raiders for a 3rd n 5th. He was not happy when the Steelers were tops in their division and he was getting 100 catches per season, he could go nuclear if Carr doesn't get him the ball 😯
valkrei
We gotta fix S and CB in a hurry for sure this doesn't help.

I was hoping we would get Montgomery from Iowa St in the 2nd. I’m ok with this signing as well. As our coaching staff has shown for multiple years, they can get the best out of each RB. Hyde had promising games for the 49ers. I bet he can rebound from his 2018 performance this year and than we might let him go into free agency to gain a compensatory pick for him. For now he adds depth to the RB position, which allows us to use more/higher picks to rebuild our defense during the draft. One trait of Hyde that shouldn’t be underestimated is his ability of pass protection, a trait neither Damien nor Darrell Williams seem to be really good at last season. It gives us the possibility of moving on from the Sausage, although that would be a shame, since i do like that guy. We’ll see. With this move we’re creating more and more competition. Herm the Squirm
Happy for the Raiders getting AB and as Valkrei said, it should only re-enforce to our front office/coaches that we MUST invest some serious draft capital into the defensive secondary. mayanfootball
Justin Houston released. Why not stay with a winning team?? Play for less money and get a RING. I don't know why these guys who are still of playing age, wouldn't want to.
RaidersAreOne
Mathieu is a big signing for you boys.

I really didn't want to commit more than 10M per on any player, aside from maaaaaybe Collins who I think is a better player. We need a lot of people everywhere, and we just hand out big deals year in and year out. That's going to hurt our depth, and while Mathieu is a good player, not sure he's enough of difference maker. kingseanjohn
I love the signing but it's a high price tag. That's a lot of money into the safety position when there's a lot of good FA and guys in the draft. I think replacing Houston and maybe Ford will be way more difficult. Jakuvious
Liking the Mathieu signing the more I think about it. Love the versatility, compared to what we would have gotten in Collins, who I thought was a likely get for us.

He better be as good in the 4-3 as he was bad in our 3-4.

Mathieu has lots of injury history now. Edited March 12, 2019 by mayanfootball
kempus
If he avoids injury, the Mathieu is a game changer in our backfield. I love it.

Do you really think that Speaks and Kpass will have the same production as Houston/Ford, assuming Ford is traded?

Back to back 16 game seasons which is a nice trend for a guy that had some bad luck early in his career.
