He has elite ball skills, shows the willingness to tackle, and covers distance as good as any DB you'll ever find. I also love his mentality. He seems like a junkyard dog. I know he's playing against bums for the most part, but man does he stand out. He is now my leader in the clubhouse for our (CLE) 2nd round pick, but I have a hard time he'll be around by then. Might end up being my #1 ranked S...I'll have to watch more! Oh, and how he'd fit in Cleveland? I think he'd be our #2 CB opposite Denzel Ward. We run a lot of zone which would benefit his play style. Id plug him at SS, and play slot vs spread when we go cover 0. He can blitz off the edge as well as cover but his range and tracking looks kinda similar to Malik Hooker Iyam. He is the type of guy that takes your defensive backfield over the top. Plus he would be leverage for Randall in negotiations Edited April 5, 2019 by MSURacerDT55

He clearly shows jump ball prowess on tape. I think he's the best contested catch specialist in the draft.

Ran a little bit faster than expected, jumped a little bit less. Odd for what looks like a bit of a slower contested catch/jump ball specialist. Exactly what I was thinking, plus he's measured out shorter than what most people thought he would be. Not sure what you do with any of this info. Not sure what you do with any of this info. I don't know about the measuring out shorter thing. Measured in about how i'd have expected. The height number is a bit deceptive, in that he's such a limbsy receiver. He measured in with the sort of long arms and wingspan to match a slightly "taller" receiver. That's what he looked like on tape to me. Just the other testing numbers that seem kinda backward. I mean generally, you just have to go back to projecting what he looks like on tape with those things in mind...but he was kinda tricky for me to get a real bead on in the first place, so mildly confusing testing results don't help that a lot. Chrissooner49er
JJAW is my favorite WR in this draft. Being the best Red Zone target of this draft, he could really help my 9ers a lot. I would take him on Day 2, 2nd or 3rd round without regrets.
lark25
I think you can argue Sills is a better red zone target, he also jumped 37.5 inches at the combine.

Only that he’d be a lovely fit for my Ravens. 😁 Physical blocker (former tight end) for a run first team, large catch radius, enough quickness to create quality separation in short areas (especially in comparison to many other big receivers), good hands, and really developed route running. He reminds me of prime Jordy Nelson. I’d take him with our 1st tbh, would prefer to trade down first but still.
reamer
Interesting choice not to run the 40. I don't think it matters since he holds the all time record for the 60 at Ohio State. Great numbers for him all around.

With all the talk of him running in the low 4.3 range. Regardless, if he is indeed that fast, he has been a pretty average CB to say the least for having that type of athletic ability and skill. His ball skills are poor and he is nothing great as a tackler either. Great potential sure but yeah he needs to show up more on the field and really should have went back to school to improve his game. Had crazy high expectations at Bama as a young player, left there obviously and has played ok on Ohio State but nothing great I would not say, will see if he can have a better pro career than college career. If surrounded by more talent with a solid OL he could be a damn good pro and a steal 2nd or 3rd rounder. I'm a big fan of his as well the more I've dug into his "tape". Yeah he has great feet, makes great cuts and can make people miss in the open field and has solid vision no doubt. Plays faster than his 40 time would suggest. To hell with the numbers when it comes to this kid.
