Gruden alluded to keeping 3 QBs last night. Also said 5 URFA could make this team.

I don't think you can leave Rush or Doss off this roster. Ingold offers more than Smith from what I've seen

Guessing those 5 will be: Keelan Doss, Anthony Rush, AJ Cole, Alec Ingold, and Keisean Nixon.

+1 to all of this. I’ll add that Jelly’s money will all be dead cap this and next year so we may as well rip off the bandaid if we think Rush can give us most of what Ellis does

I like Jelly Ellis but he's replaceable. He has never been a dominant player here and never will be. Rush looks to have a lot more juice and can replace his production/impact. Besides, Hankins/Hurst should be the starters and Hall/Rush/Westbroooks (who've all flashed a lot in the preseason) is solid depth behind them.

Keisean Nixon is likely going to make the team. He has made a ton of plays in coverage during the preseason and was an elite gunner at South Carolina. Should be some decent depth at CB and an excellent STer.

Really have to wonder how the CB/S depth shakes out. Right now I'm assuming,

CB: Conley, Worley, Mullens, Nixon, Johnson? (Stash on the IR)

S: Abram, Joseph, Harris, Joyner, Riley

No love for my guy Pierson-el. Still rather him than Harris for his actual receiving ability.

Can pierson be on punt coverage or kick coverage??? Harris is gonna be our 6th wr. I rather have our 6th wr be able to do other things also.

I'm sure he can. I think he offers a little more than Harris at this point. But that's my opinion

he's been good. he has good moves and quickness, kinda lacking in overall speed. I think Harris shouldn't be a lock, but he is likely a lock

Agreed but Harris isn't exactly a burner either.

Nixon looks like a decent corner. No point cutting him, seeing as there's such a corner shortage in the league. I'd like to keep him Johnson Conley Worley and Mullen.

He's a solid gunner too. There are worse positions to carry more players than you'd like. I hope we don't keep too many TEs. I also don't like sending Martin to IR but whatever

As he should be. Nick Nelson is gonzo.

As he should be. Man, that guy did not turn out as they hoped.

Also, I might be overthinking it, but I'm not sure Conley will be in our long term plans. I could see him being moved somewhere down the line (as in next year or later)
