So... after the draft we can now finally evaluate our team to some degree.

I think our offense will be OK... assuming Carr has protection. We improved at OT so I think Carr should be kept upright. We have some decent weapons at WR now and some balance of playmaking and move the chains type of guys... and with Jacobs I like our added versatility, and I think he makes our offense much less predictable because he's an every down type of back.

On defense, I'm not sure what to think right now. I like our defensive backs... but I still have some concern that we will be at the bottom of the league in terms of pass rush. Will Ferrell take advantage of 1 on 1 situations? Or will he be like Arden Key was and not generate pressure? Who will create pressure on opposing QBs and be able to win a lot of their 1 on 1 matchups?  I'm curious to see who steps up out of our rookies, and I'm also curious to see how guys like Key and Hurst have developed.

we are going to need Carr to be an all pro for us to be good again.. offense should be good, defense should hope to be average... DBs look nice, Lbers look average, need our DTs to progress, need Ferrell to be a star. edge pass rush looks to be issue again

QB - Carr* - Glennon
RB - Jacobs* - Martin* - Richard* - Washington
FB - Ingold - Warren
TE - Waller* - Moreau - Wilson
WR - Brown* - Williams* - Renefrow* - Nelson - Grant
LT - Miller* - Kirkland
LG - Parker* - Cotton
C - Hudson*
RG - Jackson*
RT - Brown* - Sharpe
Total Offense: 24 (13 locks*)
We really don't have alot of roster spots. The back up battle between Jones/Peterman/Glennon will be good to watch. I expect Renefrow to push Nelson and Grant for snaps in the slot and sooner rather then later be the WR3. I think we trade Ingold and Warren (Zack Crockett anyone?) for keith smith at FB. Waller emerges as an average NFL TE (not as prdocutive as Cook but will contribute). I want to aee Moreau get some coaching I hope he contrinutes this year. But I think definitely after a year of NFL coaching he will be a legit NFL TE. LG is really only the position of interest along the line. I think its a real long shot but I can't say I would be shocked to see Brandon Parker starting at LG over Good. Parker is a lock to make the team but not a lock to start at guard.

DE - Ferrell* - Mayowa
DT - Ellis* - Hankins*
DT - Hurst* - Hall*
DE - Key* - Mauro - Crosby
WLB - Whitehead - Morrow
MLB - Burfict* - Cabinda
SLB - Marshall* - Lee
CB - Conley* - Mullen* - Worley* - Riley - Lawson - Nelson
FS - Joyner* - Harris* - Richards
SS - Joseph* - Abram*
Total Defense : 26 (15 locks*)
Same goes for defense as far as roster spots go. I don't think theres a chance that Mayowa, Mauro or Crosby push Key out of a starting job. Ferrell and Key are gunna surprise people. Ellis, Hurst, Hankins and Hall is a solid rotation at DT. Linebackers are the weakest unit for me. I am not sure any one on our roster will be a starting LB in the league 5 years from now theres a lot of averageness with that position. Guenther is a LB mastermind so he will coach them up but the unit is still disappointing. Our secondary is pretty locked in. I think CB1/2/3 are locked in with Conley/Mullen/Worley. It will be interesting to see which route Gruden goes with Riley, Lawson, Nelson and Johnson, especially with Joyner getting a lot off snaps as the Nickel CB. Harris signed a tender so he is a lock, Joseph is in the last year of his contract and so he will he traded or is a lock for a roster spot. I expect either way by the end of the year Abram takes over as starting SS.

K - Carlson*
P - Cole
LS - DePaola
Total Specialist: 3 (1 lock*)
Townsend sucks. Cole doesnt have to do much to get my approval.

PS or Mysterious IR (warren treament):

*Johnson - needs 1 year. Deep CB with vets on one year deal. Could see him getting "hurt"
*Coney - could be a major steal. Burfict 2.0
*Doss - Could make the roster over Grant or Nelson if renefrow takes the WR3 spot early.

Bell
Ollie
Burt

Coaching staff is banking on Ferrell, Key, and Crosby to all contribute.

Why shouldn't they? When is it that the Raiders will be able to bank on rookies and young players to make substantive and positive contributions like every other successful team does? Rather than just being two hairs better than dead bodies at their positions for 3 of their 4 rookie contract years..

We don’t have much fodder this year, competition across the board... bubble players

QB: Glennon challenged by Peterman both former starting QBS

RB: Washington and Warren both on the outside looking in... Washington has shown he can play in the league, and Warren was one of the best preseason players last year.

FB: Ingold has a good shot to winning FB job. He was the best FB in this draft class

WR: Ateman, Doss, Hatcher prolly all fighting for last wideout spot. Doss was a stud at senior bowl, ateman has potential, and Hatcher caught 3tds when he was featured. Rico gafford also has freaky speed

te: Wilson replaces smith as blocking te. Carrier a proven Te is on the bubble and Paul butler looked good last preseason

t: roemer was one of the most high rated underrated free agent pickups. Only a sophomore, wasn’t drafted due to personal conduct. Has talent

G: sharpe and Kirkland on the Bubble this year , who knows what happens to them. Lester Cotton could also surprised. Lucas McNeil started over 30 games for a powerhouse and could shine with a convert to guard. The man is huge

c- Andre James has the size of a center, maybe cable converts him and he thrives from the shift from LT

de- a lot of wild cards here in Max, Bell who hopefully emerge.. Barnett was one of the best aaf players, still a weak position

dt- vanderdoes and Gabe wright on the bubble. Eddie coming back from another big injury and Gabe wright cut off dolphins after he fought a teammate. Ollie has an outside shot if he impresses, freak attributes

lb- Coney, Morrow, Lee, Cabinda, Kao Farmer all battling for backup spots. Farmer has Freak attributes

cb- first 6 seems locked in, but raiders rushed to sign those 2 udfa. Both guys 21 with strong resumes Nixon and Mabin

s- we have former starters competing for a spot on the team in Richards and Riley

for competition be nice to bring in: DE, another returner to push Harris, and punter ....AJ Cole really
