A TRAIN 89
Living in NYC, my Giant-fan coworkers are none too happy. Anywyas... I’d like to see who starts at the other Safety position. Not sure Nicholson is the guy, Deshazor Everett seems like more of a Collins back up/special teams ace and Troy Apke has shown next to nothing. Call me crazy, but I like our CBs. Dunbar is solid when healthy, Moreau keeps improving and Norman can make plays in zone coverage.

Front-loading the deal is interesting. Here I was thinking they’d want to keep money off the cap in the next year or two in order to give themselves the opportunity to get out of the Smith contract if/when he’s cleared physically — and instead they’re stuffing Collins’s big money into that window. Interesting. @Woz and @e16bball, do you think maybe they are front loading as much as they can so-as to be in the Jets' position in a few years with tons of space? Lot of friends telling me how great he is like dude, I’ve seen him plenty he can’t cover. Their biggest argument is the rest of the Giants D was so bad he really couldn’t shine. Especially last season. We’ll see I guess

Literally like 1/2 mile from the Scarsdale Village and train station (if you know where the Trader Joe's is on White Plains Road, they lived like 200 yards behind it). It's why twice a year, things get a little tense when our two teams play

Maybe. Although now that I’ve had a little more time to mull it, I think more likely is that they’re just trying to cram in the Collins money now before Allen and Payne and *possible 2019 rookie* start getting to their second contracts. From that standpoint, I can see the thought process behind this deal. I just don’t see the Redskins ever having $100M in salary cap room. And I don’t really think it’s a good thing. It’s really hard to build up from “we have nothing of value on our roster but a bunch of rookies” to a SB contender.

I can see the logic in taking the medicine now so you are free to spend what you think it's gonna cost to keep both those guys in a few years. It's the only reason I see us cramming this now in the short time period we are doing it (along with the Smith money since I expect him to be a June 1st cut). lavar703
JP Finley is going over the contract and he’s saying it’s not bad at all. Apparently want was announced wasn’t exactly accurate. Shocker.

He counts $4M against the cap this year somehow and it’s essentially a 2-year deal that we can easily get out of. Not bad I guess.

I think you're gonna be really disappointed when Collins gets burned in coverage because the Skins cant rush the passer. 6 years, 84 million in a free agency that was stocked with safety talent. Oh, and Case Keenum is the best QB on the roster
