The issue is, there is just a lack of a quality starter and depth a G and protecting Carr is priority 1. He's a knucklehead, but it's low risk if he can lock down the G spot for a year until they find a solution. Rolling with Good and a bunch of nobodies behind him is risky. They are 1 injury at G away from a real problem. Maybe Gruden will assign him a babysitter to make sure he takes his meds and tows the line. Good looked pretty decent last year, but I understand skepticism based on sample size, which mayock himself alluded to.

agarcia34
Raiders playing a dangerous game by going all in on relying on a rookie and Key to provide a pass rush. Never got the feeling that the Raiders were interested in Ansah.

Maybe we can finally get @SBXISBXVSBXVIII his Iowa guy.

Never got the feeling that the Raiders were interested in Ansah. Mayowa was a top 30 edge player according to PFF. Not saying he is actually a top 30 edge player, but he probably put up decent pressure numbers, which is what they value the most. He's still reasonably young and could definitely help. Key started to turn the corner at the end of last year and the offseason should help some. Hurst played pretty damn well before the ankle injury and could be in line for 8-10 sacks (we'll see). Hall flashed, but needs more consistency. Buckner did very well and increased tampa's sack total last year. I think he can do the same for us. Plus manufactured blitzes, as joyner and abram are fantastic blitzers.

He had fumbling issues as a PR/KR specialist for us, but he's a really shifty runner and is a home-run threat with the ball in his hands. If he can clean up his mental mistakes, the kid will be a solid starter.
bucksavage1
Arden Key makes the sophomore leap and Mayowa is underrated he will get pressure. We still need another vet but they may wait until camp or even during the season like we got Hankins

SBXISBXVSBXVIII
There will be cuts as teams have to start reducing their roster numbers. I'm sure there'll be some veteran pass rushers out there. I'd like to believe Mayock will be waiting to see who'll be available. At least I hope he would.

I would've also been happy with Cody Ford instead of the trade down for Mullens.
