You can designate post June cut at any point. However, we did not as we don't want the dead money counting against the 2020 cap. This is likely because we want to have extra room for the Ramsey contract --- this also gives us leeway in Ngakoue and Jack's contracts assuming we re-sign them before year's end as we can put a higher cap hit in 2020. Based on the new contract Bortles gets with a new team we can also get a cap credit for 2020.

Don’t expect any free agent signing happening beyond Cann.. and I don’t think anyone will be resigned in season all signings or resignings won’t happen until next off season what you get in the draft is what you’re going to get. Unless you get some bargain bin parts but this is going to be fun I fully expect a hiring freeze (free agency wise) until Shad decides if the front office deserve jobs beyond 2019. Because if a new front office is hired expect a lot of house cleaning meaning with a new regime they may come here and clear everyone out even Yannick and Ramsey.

Also be weary of a 2020 Lockout us NFL fans maybe looking dumb in the face in 2020 but it may help us if the front office is cleaned out they’ll have ample time to assemble a strong staff.

So what is his cap hit if he signs for like a $5m deal for a year?

How do people view Blake comparably to Gabbert? Better/Worse?

Blake was probably better but he sort of ruined our best shot at a SB appearance

More favorably.

Blake took us farthest of any of our QB (granted a lot went in our favor for that to happen, but still).

Blake was also as tough as it gets, and just a cool dude and gave us some awesome sound bites and personality.

Blaine was like a robot who said and did all the right things but it didn't seem genuine. And that's not to mention his actual on-field performance.

It would help the cap if he signed a deal like this, but it’s unlikely. More likely if he signs a 2 year deal with year 1 being at vets minimum as it doesn’t make a difference to him. It only matters as to where the check is coming from.
